Are you saying that NO commems should be considered CTO after 1944?
I believe some were done to 1946 so why not later? Curious.

Thanks Pete and Clive: of course those sales would be reflected in sales figures if Aussie Post Archives has them. As you say, so much was going on at the time and Australia (certainly the US) was just coming out of the Depression. Rough Times unless you had an edge! I remember how "rough"...

Hi All: I was looking over a dealers stock of Hermes today and ran across what I beleive to be a CTO of the Thick paper watermarked Hermes (date '39 which would make it an Ash printing) What do you all think? Can you tell us what watermark these have or which way the paper is "layed" (vertical or horizontal papermark lines on back of stamps) That will help a lot.
