and Peter does the addition of three more stamps to the series make any difference ? http://i1195.photobucket.com/albums/aa399/mukulgarga/Cochin3SG69sand2SG57s-1.jpg I would say the last two are recess, the others litho. I would also be suspicious that the litho stamps are fiscally used and cleaned.

I've just received a copy of the Harell auction catalogue, and it is indeed a fine production. The illustrations are excellent with very good colour accuracy. It will serve as a useful reference for the future, and I recommend anyone serious about the Uglies to beg, borrow or steal one! As was said ...

Disraeli appeared on a 31p stamp in 1987, which also featured Queen Victoria, the Albert Memorial and a ballot box.
