my first :( Jammu and Kashmir cover with a circular.

J&K SG1 on cover with brick red seal used in Kashmir till 1878.

Recently bought this cover sent from Hyderabad to Saharanpur in Uttar pradesh. The Bundi Sacred Cows block of four as a real mystery. It seems for me that it may have been complete sheet, but it was torn in two pairs. Therefore the roulettes are matching. I find it quite difficult to differentiate between Recess and Litho printing. Any easy way to differentiate between the two??

I had bid on the Lot 629 J&K SG64 by mistake (via email) (at)£120 instead of the intended £75 and the lot closed at £120. Finally plucked up the nerve to look at what I won: nine out of 33 bids. In the context, not too bad, I suppose, but mostly cheaper items. Most of the best online bids are being trumped by the room bidders by 5 gbp or so.

I went through the catalogue, circling all the lots I really had to have, omitting certain States/periods I promised not to compete with friends on. Another oddity from the lot.... Sefi documented reprint of Jammu 1/2a and 1a in brown-red on toned woven paper.
