Hi,

I need some help, I've got the ACSC Decimal I catalogue, but it's not in colour! Makes it hard trying to determine some of the flaws and missing colours and e.t.c.

I'm trying to find out what my crab stamp is under, it says in the ACSC 639f pale back, is that what this one is?

Sorry I know I've posted a lot lately, just trying to get my stamps more organised and also gain experience and knowledge.

No chance whatsoever of us telling you from that tiny scan.

I do know that this variety is a bit tricky, as there is a lot of shade variation within this issue.

Agree. Why post up a fuzzy, tiny thumbnail, when seeking free advice??

The alleged error next to a normal is how these things are done. i.e. this one from current stock -

Does anyone know of a program that is free to download or online that you can use to resize images and stay sharp?

I've tried picasa and picresizer, but it goes really grainy. No matter how much I sharpen the picture...

Thanks

Ramona, my pic above was done using the free google PICASA to get the LARGE size pix I show.

a decent scanner is all you need - the rest takes care of itself.

Get a Canon Lide that most of us use here. I am selling my 2nd office one for $50 as I never use it now if you or others need on!

You get scans like those above from it.

I've downloaded PICASA but I think I need practice using it! I have a scanner already, I'm not very computer savy :/

I hope the pictures did it justice, let me know if its still no good?

Thanks

Don't bother trying to resize just scan at a higher resolution, the above scan is at an excessive 1200 dpi on a three in one printer and then edited with windows picture viewer.

Thanks, that sounds a lot easier to me :)

So does anyone know if my crab stamp is the pale back ACSC 639f? I think it is not 100% sure... I'm not an expert and am still learning.

Thanks :)
