If you mean something flying around that I could not identify, yes. If you mean something with little green men flying it, no.

What is written on your mousemat?

To be perfectly honest, I do not have a clue. My first PC (an XT) did not even have a hard drive though.

How many years have you been on "tha interweb"?

(Naw, I just don't get out much.)

About 90 members, usually 40 or so show up most weeks.

If you had to pick another country, topic or other philatelic area to collect that you now do not, what would it be and why? Assume money is no object.

If money was no object, I would do a theme collection on Zeps for sure.

What was the worst movie remake ever? My vote goes to Planet of the Apes

A song cover is Madonna singing American Pie, which now answers the last two questions with one answer.

What were you doing when you heard that John Lennon had been murdered?

As part of the Canadian National Exhibition, held at the Band Shell at Ontario Place, in Toronto - Sid Slick and the Gliders. No, I'm not kidding. At least it was free.

Is OJ guilty of robbery and kidnapping in the current "legal difficulties" in Las Vegas?

Not quite - three completely missing, and I never ever got wisdom teeth (which probably explains a lot).

Favourite season, or if in Australia, weather?

anytime but now? well, 1820s to the 1840s appeal to me. Those years seem innocent, just before the industrial revolution. Maybe I'm naive about it.

When would YOU like to be?

Paris in 1920s or London in early 1960s (all of that great British music and fashion and suburban Sydney felt like the end of the universe!)

-----------------------------------------------

Where IS the real end of the universe? (Former Oz prime minister described Australia as 'the arse end of the earth')Thought it might be Alaska but went there last year and it was fantastic

Only the take off and landing

I think all airport bookshops should have a copy of Erica Jong's book prominently displayed.

Have you ever been white river rafting or canoeing?

Yes and yes, we can rent river rafts inexpensively from our University activities center and we have great river rafting in close driving distance, mostly Salmon River and Snake River and various tributaries. I've done this a number of times.

Have you ever parachuted?

No, I prefer to remain on the inside of airplanes.

Have you ever climbed into the crater of a volcano?

It's cold here in Ottawa, and I complain about it. But it's not so bad I'd climb into a volcano.

Should the speed limits on open stretches of highway be raised?
