Well, Chris, given a choice I'd pick the older stuff, even though it will be the common stuff. Send me your address and I'll get on it right after Jacob's order. Looking forward to trading! :D

Jacob & Chris Murphy, I have both of your orders filled. I'm just waiting on an e-mail from Chris for his address, and I'll take both to the post office to save one trip.

Jacob, I received brucerob9's Australian packet today, and it appears to be pretty comprehensive from 1966 to 2004. I'm happy if you send anything you have, but if you have some before and after that era it would be great. Don't sweat it if you don't though.

brucerob9, I was in the twilight zone when I opened your package today. You used the carboard backing frame I used to send your stamps. Until it clicked in, it was a bit freaky, like I didn't bury a body deep enough or something.

Nice packing job. Thanks for the organized selection!

Everybody check this out.
Image
Now this is packing stamps! Each of these was neatly stapled to the carboard in two rows of five, one hundred each packet (it appears). And waterproofed? Oh yeah! I couldn't tear the plastic wrapped around it all, I had to cut it with scissors! Thanks for the nice stamp variety on the envelope too! :D

MORE traders always wanted and welcome! :D

Jacob and Chris Murphy, I'm sorry I didn't post your packages yet.

It's your fault Jacob!

 No, I just thought about trading with you, and how you are a new young collector, and decided to send you some additional free stuff, so I had to buy some more 6X9 envelopes because they wouldn't fit in a 4X6.

In addition to the 200 for trade, I'm also sending you 100 extra free Canada, 18 free of the more common Canada excise/revenue/wartax stamps, and 161 free U.S.A stamps. I'll try to post them for sure tomorrow.

OK, I sent them out today, but the post doesn't go out until 2:15 P.M. tomorrow because I went in after that time today.

I overpayed for both of you 52¢ each to keep the wildlife souvenir sheet intact. Seemed stupid to break up a couple of sheets over a buck. I got the lady to hand cancel them, they look pretty decent.

Looking for more people to trade with, even if it's a small amount you can spare. What the heck, it gets you a nice cover at least. :D

Hi Don,

Thanks for your kind comments on my packing and organising the 1,000 Australian stamps I sent you. In my dealings on ebay I have always taken the rule that sending of items in the condition that I would like to receive them. I will now apply to same to my Stampboard swaps. Hope you were able to use some of them and look forward to dealing with you again.

Regards

Hi Uncadonego,

I'd be interested in getting all the Canada you have to offer (~600 still?). Would you be interested in maybe 300-400 France (half or more post-2000) and 200-300 Spain?

Jeff

Yes brucerob, I'm unpacking them one at a time and putting them in stock sheets, enjoying them all. I never noticed before the very low percentage of boring stamps Australia issues. Nineteen out of twenty are total winners. So many to scan for the various threads- ships, birds, sea life, stamps on stamps, etc. Beautiful and interesting stamps.

Sure thing stillmanjb, perhaps a tad more nowadays. I've recently bought some reasonably priced off paper, and am gradually soaking over a pound of more modern on paper I got quite low in auction, and I am also awaiting an upcoming auction to see if I succesfully bid on more. If 600 is as high as you can go though, that's fine too. I'll start sorting for you as soon as I can. Go ahead and e-mail me your mailing address.

Sin, received your Singapore stamps today in good shape! Just looking inside the plastic envelope, right off the top I can see two scans for stamps on stamps thread, one for cats thread, one for butterflies thread, one for birds of a feather thread, one for sailing ships thread, one for odd shapes thread, one for this thread really bugs me thread, one for sea life thread.....and I haven't even opened it yet!

Looks like lots of fun in there!

Thanks!

I can certainly go higher if you don't mind me throwing another country in there! I'd be especially keen on the more recent ones. I'll start putting together a group and let you know what I come up with. If you can let me know how many I should be shooting for....

stillmanjb, in order to come up with about 600 or more, I have to go through the entire history of Canada stamps, starting at about Scott #75 running into the 21st century.

rsa, 100 more on the way as requested. I used the new single souvenir sheet from "Year of the Rabbit". It was too big so it's on the reverse. It's OK though, I put and envelope within the envelope, there's a fat side and a skinny side. If you tap down the fat side, then just cut the least edge off the other side, the worst you will hit is another envelope. You can save the envelope that way, or the whole souvenir sheet will be unharmed for soaking.

Hi,
Thanks, I got the stamps sent by you on 9/2/11, by Sat.
19/11/11 with the Year of Rabbit Souvenir sheet neatly packed. I received bonus stamps too. Very kind of you.
Almost 90% are new to my collection. I am today despatching 100 stamps against this.

Further, I need 100 more stamps. The last scott Number
received upto 513.

Regards,
rsa

stillmanjb, I have 680 Canada stamps put aside for you, but if you want to wait a bit I may get that number up a bit more. I'm in the process of soaking and drying a full pound of close-cut more modern stuff. Do you want me to send you the 680 or just hold off a while until I get through this more modern postage?

I'm interested in another batch of 200 stamps if you don't mind receiving mostly older US stamps.

Hi Connie,

Could you please let me know the last Scott number I sent you? I don't want to send you duplicates.

Uncadonego, I'll wait for the more modern stuff. I've fallen behind in sorting the stamps for you, anyway. I'll probably have to include one or two more countries in my portion of the trade to get the numbers that high, if that's ok with you.

Sure, no problem. U.S. plus bits of others is fine.

Even adding on the more modern stuff will probably only get it around 700 or 725, since there is so much duplication in soaker lots.

Ok, that sounds good. I'll probably send around 250 Spain, 250-300 France, and the remainder Germany, if that's ok. If you prefer US, I could probably do around 600-700 of them.

U.S. is tricky, because I have multiples of dozens to hundreds of the 50's,60's,&70's era, about 350 different. Earlier or more modern would be good though.

Wait until you actually receive my packet, then mix whatever you think, and if I already have some of what you send I'll just try to recycle that part.

Ok, that sounds good. I'll most likely stick with an international assortment that will be more interesting than what I would provide from the US.

I'm sorry. The cover stamps were lovely, so I clipped them and they're somewhere in a large pile I need to soak.

Ok, Connie, no problem, I'll just try to use stamps that have been released since I sent your last packet so I know they are different.

adivaragan, YEA! I finally got your first envelope today! India takes a while.....

Anyway, just looking through the batch with my magnifying glass now. Some scans for the trains thread, the horse-drawn thread, the flight thread, the bugs thread, the birds thread, just at first glance.

Thanks again, and looking forward to your next package! :D

stillmanjb, just so you know, it's 710. I could keep going, but it's sputtering out into far spaced definitives only, so I stopped. When I have a commemorative, it's usually only one or two in the upper thousand catalogue numbers. I'm still actively working on increasing the accumulation up there though, so maybe in the future.

I'm holding off sending them until I get Connie's and Adivaragan's and annwiggy's orders filled some time this week, plus get Chris' Fergie Jenkins packet packaged. When I send several orders at once internationally, I save paying an extra 13% HST on the stamps.

Everyone's orders will probably be mailed out by this Friday.

They left in the truck on the 19th of February. Thirteen days, I guess that's not too bad. I'm guessing mine will arrive on the 11th then. Any wagers?

Got a couple lbs. of more modern to soak and sift through, might enhance future packets.

QUESTION: Am I going to the trouble of neatly hand cancelling for nothing? One certain dealer today told me that they run it all through the machine canceller anyway..

How did the cancellations arrive to those of you who've received packages from me? Hand cancelled only, or machine cancelled over top of it anyway?

Thanks for the great batch of Canadian stamps. The envelope came hand canceled with lovely stamps on the cover. The extras were a nice surprise.

Your batch of stamps are on their way.

Thanks again.

Oh good, I'm glad they aren't getting machine cancelled on top of the hand cancellation.

Look forward to your stamps in the mail.

No one has offered any trades for a while.....starting to get the DT's....
