Hi,
If anyone has a very good selection of old British Commonwealth and is looking for old Finland I'd be happy to trade. Regional trading partners would be especially great for fast and problem free mail.
I offer fine used, faultless and generally with handstamps cancels. I'm looking for mostly fine used too but can also go for mint light hinged (NO mint no-gum) because of my specific interests.
NB! VERY important to note that I only offer and want good quality. No faults. I do have a very few stamps with minor faults and I can trade those for alikes. Only by wantlists and on catalog basis, not random sendings.
Would be using Scott, Michel and if trade is only for pre-1940 stamps then also can use Yvert (World Classics 2005). Don't have SG for anything else than Commonwealth. Scott and European Michel are 2009, although for several colonies Michel is 2007-2008. African colonies for example.
Amount of my offer Finland some early issues but mainly 1930-40 and up to 1950. All fine used, Scott over $600, Michel over 500€. Majority of value in 1930s.
I wish to add to my collection by wantlist some GB, Australia, NZ, Canada pre 1950 but my main interest is with British colonies 1930s-1940s. There are a few favorites where I also collect from early on to the QEII first issues. Ceylon, British Guiana, Mauritius. I mainly miss better stamps with those. But with others I'm only after specific sets and issues. I only need 1-2 stamps with a few sets but lack many completely. The list is long. What I have in mind are those KGV and KGVI landscapes/scenery sets and issues. Not looking now for Omnibus issues with majority of the Colonies! Would be very interested in Newfoundland where I have very little right now.
If anyone who doesn't have problems with sparing time for a trade and details in this exchange, is interested, please contact via forum e-mail for offer/wantlist. Scans would be much prefered so that there would be less mistakes or misunderstandings. I don't mind if you only have time during weekends as long as there's any progress. But it would be great if first trade, even if modest amount, could be negotiated within a week.
I'll leave a post here if I'm starting a trade with someone so that there wouldn't be several people wanting the same things.
Toivo
