Malta's 2002 Personalities set, designed by Harry Borg and printed by Bundesdruckerei in Germany, exists with a variety.

All the values were printed in sheets of 10, but 15ċ and 35ċ had 6 stamps from the sheet with a dot on the ċ (for ċenteżmi in Maltese), and the other 4 with the dot omitted. The 3ċ, 7ċ and 50ċ do not have ths variety.

Here is a close-up of the value tablets:

These are listed in the local JB catalogue, as nos. 1230a and 1231a. They are catalogued at the same price as the normal stamps:
15ċ: €0.70 mint, €0.60 used.
35ċ: €1.50 mint or used.

My question is: are they listed in Gibbons, Scott, Michel or Yvert et Tellier, and if listed, what are their numbers (I only know SG, if listed they would be 1281a and 1282a)?

In Scott 2008 they are not listed. Only the set of 5 is listed "1092-1096" both mint and used priced at $5.75.

Did you try looking at the back of the JB catalogue as typically they have a cross reference to major stamp catalogues.

Older editions had the cross reference, but my 2010 and 2012 editions to not have it.

Hi

I checked in my 2004 edition of the JB catalogue and none of the other catalogues list the ones with the dots missing.
