Anne

I think I have a better one.

A friend of mine is a computer and office equipment repairer.

He was running late for a dinner date one evening when he received a call from a very distraught client. A manager whose staff had knocked off for the day, but he had to get a report ready for next morning, and the printer had broken down.

Now my friend had an appointment, but having a grown man sobbing on the phone swayed him. He attended the workplace. Spent 10 seconds with the machine. Said "Try it now, it should work OK".

Manager said sheepishly "Bet it was something simple".

"Yes ... it helps if you take the packaging off the paper before loading it in the the machine."

I've had this problem for a few days, thought is was my old computer. "Ctrl" and "F5" worked. Thanks Glen :D

Yes, if folks do not like the bright yellow and green background colour, hit your ""F5" key on very top row, and it will go back to the usual one.

The FONT for the moment stays, while we vote on it here -

Chris,

Hold the Ctrl key down and press the F5 key.

That should do the trick.

Just tried the C/F5 and everything is now back to normal :)

You know, I was just starting to get used to that yellow though  It was certainly bright!

I love April Fools Day jokes! This was a good one!

Muruk...was that true???

It's a bit like that guy some years ago trying to send a fax...by holding the paper in front of his screen and then pressing his fax button! I have a whole folder on funnies about tech support! Would make a good, funny thread!

Hey Mods...any chance of getting maybe a paler yellow background? I kind of miss it! But, then again, it might affect stamp images...so maybe not!
