Only on ebay! Bin fodder for me. Am listing up a stockbook of this reprint stuff later today.

I listed up here a range of GENUINE China and can't sell them.

That 1945 set of 6 President Lin Sen is NOT often seen, indeed it is rather uncommon, and really shoud be into 3 figures, but SG still has it as a rather silly £18.

There are still some 'sleepers' in the China area. Just NOT in the post 1960 era!

A good example of more recent items selling well above catalog value are the 2003 SARS stamps that catalog $7 each. A recent one sold for $40. I had a block of 4 in a recent china lot that I sold, the lot had a catalog value of $67, ended up fetching just over $420.

The early reprint sets are going so well because it is so difficult to find genuine non reprint sets that the Chinese are buying these up to fill the gaps in their albums.
