Glad you got your money back.

This bloke is showing how dumb he really is, although im sure it wasn't a secret.

Hopefully this may be enough for ebay to boot him for good.

This thread has done a lot of good anyway as his sales have been pretty pathetic of late anyway.

My god, this complete idiot, stamps_fishing cannot help but make himself look like a complete moron! He seems to have the same number of of brain cells as a dead piece of cardboard. What a maroon!

The stamp is clearly marked as a forgery

This is another FORGERY by our friend the pizza delivery man from North Sydney which I am not allowed to say his name because he rings ebay and cries like a baby to them.

If you require the forger's name please email me.

Get a job at Maccas you fool! They do give discounts for staff, so you need not starve to death waiting for your eBay sales to pick up.

What a shame this mental midget ruined a perfectly good Thick paper Robes.

He should have offered it as THIN paper, as he has been doing a lot lately, as the Bunnies have no idea of course.

The 5/- here is thin as of course both are priced the same but the 10/- and £1 are THICK paper.

Retail value $100 more of course.

Report him for offering more mis-described sets again, and the forged "SPECIMEN" perfins on the 1946 Victory for Hong Kong and Northern Rhodesia.

Back to the forger and shill bidder.

More bad pennies have returned.

stamps_fishing sold these two New Guinea lots.

Image

Image

Image

Image

They now form part of a current lot.

Image

Image

If he has sold them once, how come he's selling them again? The high bidder wasn't a shill bidder was it? Surely not at honest Johns used cars and stamps aka stamps_fishing.

-To be quite frank I think the original two lots were scanned while on that large hagner as shown in the current lot and even though they were apparently sold, they haven't been off it. The angles and positions of the stamps appear to be exactly the same. So they do not appear to have been sent to a buyer and re-jected for some reason and returned.

The most likely explaination is shill bidding.

Does anyone think they will be able to snare a bargain at stamps-fishing?

I am confused. How does he make his money? Doesn't he have to pay Ebay commission on the stamps he is "selling" to himself? And then he resells it for less? I know he is a fraud but I don't understand how he makes money from this. Would love an easily understandable explanation on exactly what he is doing and why it is profitable for him.

Thanks

If you have read the while thread and the nsb13579 and unistamps threads and seen his ability at OS forging do you honestly think that these OS perfins are legitimate.

Watch the bunnies go crazy over these, which in all likelyhood are more of his creations. That lot of scrap paper already has 7 bids to $51.

On the 16th of March,2012, stamps_fishing made the sale of a couple of Western Australian revenues to a different buyer than the re-list a couple of posts above.

Item: 230759162155

Image

Image

The stamps are currently offered for sale by stamps_fishing as separate lots.

So either someone else didn't pay or he bought them himself under a shill.

This idiot is paying more money to ebay each month these days on fees selling things to himself, via his half dozen fake shill handles, than he is getting selling fakes to Bunnies.

Even the ebay bunnies have woken up to this loser and what he does 'sell', goes for peanuts, often less than it costs him.

Play match up with these. The Kingsford Smith Block is particularly telling. I don't think the dots in the bottom margins are on the stamps in most cases, just the hagners.

This rat bag doesn't waste any time in relisting his shill buys.

On the 7th of May, 2012 he apparently sold this lot of very recent Internationals at under face.

Image

7 days later he has broken up the lot and is offering them separately. Note the vertical pairs are the same.

stamps_fishing is still at it with forged overprints.

Amongst SOME of his forgeries is this Victoria Land overprint on a N.Z. ½d.

Image

Excuse the dodgy image, he has used a really low res scan of the stamp in this listing, he doesn't want you to see it is a fake.

Image

These forged overprints have been discused on the board before and an image of a genuine 1d stamp is reproduced from that thread.

Image

Spot the difference. Clue: It is like putting a square peg in a round hole.

And who was the reprobate offering the forgery last time? None other than maylan11z2 which is one of his former identities.

viewtopic.php?f=21&t=21110&p=1129437

stamps_fishing also has another of his old standbys up for grabs at the moment, the New Zealand 2d Stars Error. Also bound to be a forgery.

On the genuine overprint, the right foot of the "R" points to the right whereas on the halfpenny stamp it seems to go straight down with no "kick".

The "L" of the genuine seems to be the same width as the upright whereas on the halfpenny the base seems thicker.

The "T" on the halfpenny has a white dot near the base of the vertical, allowing part of the image to show through. Not evident on the one penny.

The dot at the end of the one penny overprint is square and sharp.

stamps_fishing can give you a crystal clear image on stamps that don't matter like this postage item.

Image

But when it comes to a stamp that matters like the N.Z. Stars Error you get a low res scan and note there is no opportunity to enlarge the fuzzy image.

Has stamps_fishing got something to hide from the punters?

Image

Image

There is no opportunity to enalarge the Victoria Land image in his listing either. :?

stamps_fishing currently has a Papua New Guinea D.1. Postage Due listed for sale.

When I first saw it I thought it was bound to be a forgery. I suspect I was correct.

No sane person would buy one of these without a certificate as forgeries abound. Hence I am not surprised to find one for sale by stamps_fishing.

The overprint on his stamp looks to be incomplete and poorly executed.

Image

Image

How anyone could pay more than a few dollars for that as a curio beggars belief.

I think I have found the source of his forged overprints. A seller in the U.K. lists them as forgeries.

Image

Image

Here is one from a different seller which is probably genuine.

Fresh from the regum shop.

This lot purchased from stampsulike:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&item=110844888363

Image

Description: VICTORIA mounted mint selection with values to 1sh, some gumside blemishes/tonespots, generally sound/fine, high catalogue value.

Is now split up and being sold separately by stamps_fishing as MUH.

This is one of the stamps (top row, second stamp) that shows a hinge remain in the above image.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VICTORIA-1901-1-Orange-State-Stamp-FRESH-MUH-/230792113472

I wonder how many of these will end up with perfins.

Another bad penny returns, well a £2 actually.

stamps_shilling sorry stamps_fishing has just listed this £2 Small Multi Roo.

I saved the details and image because it was sold for a bargain back in February. I felt sure it would make an encore appearance. I was right.

Back to the P.N.G. Postage Due. D.1.

The forgeries are all over eBay at times and you can even find them with the forged double overprint.

Image

It is a pity these sellers don't indelibly mark them as forgeries.

I thought it was eBay rules that all forgeries are indelibly marked as such?

Is this fake? The right border is definitely not lithographed. There is blue ink residue everywhere on the right. The color is off.

Has that QLD stamp got anything to do with stamps_fishing ?

If so what is the lot number?

The right frame is perfectly normal and kosher. The colour is usual. (Unlike some of your cherished States 'bargains' you have showed us elsewhere that were total dogs.)

Please do not de-rail serious threads with your clear lack of knowledge on states.

The most recent entries in this thread: Queensland Stamps used in British New Guinea are about another fraudulent listing by stamps_fishing.

It's all very well to get these people kicked off ebay, but they just rebirth themselves and come back.

Is there another course of action that could be tried to attempt a more permanent solution?

Consumer fraud legislation of some sort?

Is anyone (eg, Police) going to make an effort for the amounts involved here?

I hope I can be forgiven for not following the rules here.

A couple of months ago when I was overseas & couldn't sign in stamps_fishing posted 3 separate KGV 1d's for sale.

There was nothing fraudulent about them, but they did indicate a certain lack of basic knowledge. One was a genuine 'flaw below neck' which he'd obviously never seen before.

The other two were described as 'hairlines' which they 'may' have been AND cracked cliches. So a human hair fell on the plate & cracked it?

I really admire the detective work of traralgon3844 & others in exposing him.

When I saw this stamp sell I thought that the price is right. 99 cents for a badly rubbed stamp like that as a space filler is all it was worth.

I did wonder why anyoe would really want it. It would irk me every time I saw it if it was in my collection.

Image

Funnily enough it has re-appeared looking somewhat different.

FORGED OS and FORGED cancel.

Note the really poor low resolution scan supplied by stamps_fishing. He wouldn't want anyone seeing that strategically placed cancel covering the rub would he.

That cancel looks a lot like the one that appear on the forged Kingsford Smith OS he sells.

Image

Image

The 6d Brown is a forged OS and Forged cancel as well. Trust me.

A new listing by stamps_fishing today:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1929-W-A-Swan-Plate-4-Pair-perf-OS-PERFECT-MUH-/330735547491
Image

The perf OS has been added from when it was purchased from osca2 on 27 April.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&hash=item53ec96dc5a&item=360451595354

The line perforation provides an identical match for this one.

As was mentioned elsewhere on this site (http://www.stampboards.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3658)he is now cancelling Queensland stamps with British New Guinea overprints, a very profitable venture I suspect. He has already got 5 bids on this one :-( http://www.ebay.com/itm/Queensland-1d-Orange-State-Stamps-used-in-NEW-GUINEA-Cancel-BNG-/330734619585?pt=AU_World_Stamps&hash=item4d0151cbc1#ht_561wt_1139

stamps_fishing keeps on keeping on with treating eBayers as gullible forgery fodder.

He currently has this item listed and clearly described as MUH.

Item number: 230793788415

Image

Do they look familiar? The original vendor kindly supplied a scan of the rear of the stamps and they certainly don't appear to be MUH.

stamps_fishing includes in every listing the following text: I guarantee any lot I sell is believed to be genuine.

What a lie.

He currently has this item for sale: VIC 1854 1/ Blue Wood Blocks Very Fine MVLH, NO FAULTS!!

Item number: 330738044664

The 3 images below were snagged from his listing.

Image

Image

Image

Why did I say he was lying. Pretty simply he is. He purchased that forgery from rexandfair on 4/4/12 for US $19.99 and it was clearly described as a forgery. In fact a Jeffrey's Forgery: VICTORIA 1858 1/- BLUE OCTAGONAL IMPERF UNUSED .JEFFREY FORGERY.NICE

The original listing is unclear but I suspect it did not have gum. It is now MLH.

Rex and Fair know their stuff, they are real stamp dealers in Melbourne. They are in fact members of APTA.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180852079051? ... 0852079051

It was originally item: 180852079051

Here is an entry from page 4 of this thread.

He just keeps on giving.

I thought I had seen these two stamps before which are part of a larger lot he currently has listed. Isn't he fortunate to have such a large group of MNH/MLH States stamps he can afford to let go for $19.99.

But which stamps are MNH and which are MLH? How can anyone make a serious bid on that lot?

I did say I thought I had seen them before. I was right. He sold them in early March for a paltry sum. Even the bunnies stayed away from these.

Do I smell a Shill Bidder?

Well guess what. The 2d is back!!

Here is a little challenge. Find another stamp from the large lot of mixed states that is now in his current listings. There are at least 2

I have to stop looking. Evidence of forgery, deception, shill bidding and general deceit is everywhere in his listings. And that is only the things I can confirm. Take a look at his listings and you will soon realise that much of it falls into the suspect category.

Anyway, here is another repeat appearance.

Item Number: 330722330161 SOLD on 29/4/12

Item Number: 230780826365 SOLD on 29/4/12

These two SOLD lots have joined forces to become Item Number: 230794221645

I was hoping someone would post up the matched images from that lot that was supposedly sold by stamps_fishing.

Here they are.

The 5d only.

Must have been sacked from the flipping burgers gig, if he is back to peddling $3 fakes. What a loser.

stamps_fishing sold this totally faked "gem" yesterday. It was bid up to $76 by 15 bidders (no doubt some were shill bids):

Image

Basically this very crude inkjet overprinted forgery ruined a nice stamp and left somebody out of pocket by $76 plus postage.

I reported him to eBay for that and another couple of recent flagrant violations of their policies.

Here is the link to this item. If you agree with me, please report it to eBay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PAPUA-Earliy-10-Pounds-Stamp-Duty-used-/330737071063

He recently tried to sell these suspect New Zealand overprints. Only 4 overprints on each value.

Does that £ and overprint type look familiar?

Image

And suckered someone in with these. Well he did say they were unofficial. For unofficial you should read: something I just whipped up on the computer/printer.

Just like Berger Paints, he keeps on keeping on.

stamps_forging, sorry stamps_fishing recently sold these 100 year old MUH stamps. They are described thus:

Item number: 330738046328

They're FRESH all right, chances are the gum is still wet. Read on.

Sold on the same night was this lot; again FRESH MUH.

Item number: 230796262821

W.A 1885 1/2d, 2d, 2 1/2d &4d De La Rue Swans Types FRESH MUH.

ach du lieber himmel

He has turned his attention to Germany.

How to turn a stamp catalogued at 40p into one catalogued at £70.

Whack a BERLIN over print on a cheap stamp. There is no way in the world you would buy these without a certificate. They have been forged for years. These probably more recently.

Image

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GERMANY-1947 ... 0802015465

Turn £3.75 into £130.

Image

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GERMANY-1947 ... 0802016054

Total SG Cat here is around £347. Does anyone care to place a bid knowing the antecedents of the vendor.

Image

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GERMANY-1947 ... 0802016499

Does anyone familiar with German stamps wish to comment?

Team.
Don't be to quick to suggest that the Papua Stamp Duty set on the 1964 Striped Gardener bowerbird did not actually exist as I have had 2 confirmed sightings of sales across the counter at the Port Moresby Post office, both from senior stamp commissioners. These may well be copies of the ones sighted and sold in POM.

Cheers Robbo

The cretin who forged these should have done his homework better.

The postmarks are dated 31/3/48 and the stamps with black overprint weren't issued until 1/9/48.

On the basis that these are obvious forgeries, I wouldn't trust the mint ones either.
