Howdy everyone, I haven't been a member for long, but I am selling a few things on eBay at the moment and figured it wouldn't do any harm to drum up some interest ! I hope that's okay.

I added a banner and link to this forum as requested elsewhere too :

About Me Page

This is the kind of thing on offer :

- 3 Penny blacks
- Victorian GB on cover
- Victorian GB with foreign interest, Prussia, Portugal for eg.
- Pre Stamp material - letters
- And a few Cape of Cood Hope triangles

I'm not a regular seller on eBay, but I do sell from time to time. Most of the time I spend too much buying stuff ! But over the next few weeks I will probably list more as I have a lot of thinning out to do.

Hopefully my description aren't too wide of the mark.

Link to my items for sale...

Many thanks :)

Just an update on my auction as today is the closing day. Thanks to the members here that took a look.

If you are looking for a bargain then it looks like the Cape of Good Hope triangles are going to be a cheap buy.

The auction says I will post to the UK, but as I told someone who enquired, I am happy to post to Australia as I know that is where a lot of you are. P&P to Australia will be £2.00, so not too bad really.

Thanks once again to the people that took a look :)

I love those, but unfortunately there is no proper guarantee with them, just this guys word, which amounts for less than zero on Ebay.

Hi!

I`d just like to hear your opinions! I had watched this on ebay but I missed the end as I was away for two days! Do you think it was a steel for the winner!? Not because of the shade, but if my eyes don`t play tricks with me, this could be the "line through four pence" flaw in lemon yellow mlh in pair. Cat is 1750$ in ACSC for the single, but even in this condition could it be a bargain?! Hope to hear from you!

Josto, I believe you're right. There is the vertical watermark on the right side of the stamp.

Martin, Lemons are near impossible to scan accurately as many of us have found here.

Anyway Juzwin has $625 on the ORANGE shade with var.

I guess it is just me, but I cannot see the line through fourpence on that pair.

Peter:

It can only be the right stamp of the pair.

It's not so obvious. On low resolution scans the tops of the 'UR PE' usually become slightly blurred. With this item, the line between the 'FOUR' and 'PENCE' is also evident - at least to some of us.

I'm sorry, but I still don't agree. I think it is the wmk that is giving you the suggestion.

Herrick Stamps currently is offering an amazing array of Palestine Mandate Bale (SB) #1s starting with a full sheet http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180519343701&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_1865wt_862:

Image

At a BIN of $29,000! Which is probably spot on for the market. This is one of four known full sheets.

Then there are an array of blocks

Image

Image

And a nice cover.

I'd like them all, but the cost of a divorce lawyer and settlement wouldn't be worth it

Image

So, who says that interesting legitimate items do not show up on ebay? And at decent prices.

Clearly a sheet of 50 acsc quotes plates are 300-on comprising three sheet ABC consisting of upper and lower panes of 50 each 10 rows of 5
sheet of 100 were the norm for this era and size of stamp does any one have any other info as to weather this is a typo in the acsc

I appreciate that this Ebay item is NOT philatelic but, in view of the Australian interest , I thought I'd list it here(Hope this is acceptable!):

After decades of stamp collecting I have accumulated lots of extra material. Both from countries I do collect (Norway, Switzerland, Denmark) and from countries I don't collect (I'm a sucker for those boxes full of surprises). So I decided it is time to learn to sell on eBay, not only to purchase.
Any tip form experienced sellers will be appreciated. First out is this minisheet from Yugoslavia.

Image

I thought maybe it would be impossible to sell cheap items from a country with high postage fees (Norway), or maybe the price was to high. But I actually got a bid within the first hour of the auction!

I think I'll quit my dayjob tomrrow!

While wasting time on the PC, i spotted this Ebay Auction.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0691944712

Image

Currently at 0.99 Euro.

the Postmark on the 3D roo is Wokalup. I reckon that Postmark wouldn't come up
very often.

I have two auctions currently active, both have very similar, almost identical Icelandic 20aur. stamp pairs.

The first is on Delcampe (my first listing ever on this site):Iceland Christian X

The second on Ebay:Iceland Christian X

I think it should be interesting to compare the two at the end! :D

Have a Good One,

I don't see a lot of Wokalup postmarks either. But I think the main value for these stamps is there seems to be a flaw on the two pence halfpenny ring and also on the second last 3d green with the P of postage. They are suggesting a cat value of 350 euro for these stamps. I have a watch on it and will see how it goes in nine days time.

Hi!

Lot of OS roos on ebay! It is already quite high, but for those who like flaws on roos, I think it could be interesting! By the way, first picture, sixth row, fourth stamp, is a 4d roo large OS with the "Dirk Hartog flaw"! It`s the second I´ve seen in large OS, so although it has a missing corner, I think it`s quite scarce! What do you guys think?
