Yes, when it has been at Mooroolbark it has, but when held elsewhere is on a standard weekend.
Yes, I will not be attending as will be elsewhere.

Ron, what times? My long weekend will consist of painting, gardening and other such fruitless drudgery. It might be nice to have a little break.

I was only suggesting that if you wish to partake of the best of the wares on display then the early bird gets the worm.

Nice sales pitch. Now, if I come to the fair on Sunday, and play stamps on Monday, just who is going to paint the deck, finish painting the bedroom and finish the gardening so we can put the house on the market?

Geez, the wife's going to be busy!!

For those who may be interested.a brief rundown on the Mooroolbark Fair.

Overall slightly more bodies through the door than the last 2-3 Fairs, quite a few new Faces, which can only be good for the Hobby.
All Dealers I spoke to were Very happy with sales (as was I)
The Suitcase was the 1st sale of the Day.
Sherro was keen, but was having trouble with getting it past the Wife. :?
He asked me If I could ring up later in the evening to say Sherro had Won the Raffle "A suitcase Full Of Stamps" he thought that might work.
But while he was cogitating over it, a Lady spotted it spoke to her Husband and it was GONE.much to Sherro,s relief.

There were 6 clubs who entererd the Comp.
Mooroolbark.
The Royal.
The P.S.Society.
Waverly.
Dandenong.
Brighton.
Each club supplies 3 frames,( 1 each from 3 members,)
so there were 18 displays. ALL of a very high standard,.

but ranged from rubbish bin throw aways,to 1st class early Covers.War Time Covers,Thematics, etc etc.

The Royal took 1st Prize but only by 1 point from Waverly.

All up a VERY GOOD Fair, and we hope the next one will be even better.
