This stamp has got me stumped... I've seen lots of Indian Foreign Bills and lots of revenues from Zanzibar but this overprint isn't in any catalogues I have.

I suppose it could be a fake overprint, but if it is, it was done a lot of years ago and done very badly, I'm sure a proper faker would've made more of an effort.

I assume all overprints in Zanzibar were produced by typography, so can you see a clear "bite" on the back?

Trouble is that this one isn't like the other overprints on revenues, it looks more like a rubber stamp than anything that's gone through a printing press - but that's still okay, what I'm more interested in knowing is whether there are others like this one.
