I recently found this old cheque with a blind embossed NSW stamp duty exemption stamp. I was unable to find a listing for it.

I am curious as to what value it may have if any and would appreciate any help from board members.

Sorry for the image size, I just don't seem to be able to enlarge it.

Few people collect blind embossed duty stamps and as this one is pretty recent, I would say you would be lucky to get $2 for it (if you could find someone who wanted to buy it that is!)

Sorry :(

Forgot to mention that there are some cheque collectors out there (not many), so probably better to approach it from that angle and you might get $5!

Not Bruce,

Do you know of any sites that display/discuss the impressed revenues ?

Darrin.

As far as I'm aware there aren't any discussion sites, but there's loads of information via The Revenue Society which you can access via my website (link at the bottom)

I do have some impressed revenues on my site, but currently only under Ireland.

I would need several lifetimes to put together a comprehensive picture listing.

Cheers,

Mike (Not Bruce)

Darrin & Mike

There is a tight nit group of collectors who take the collecting of Impressed Revenues quite serious! They are well documented in Australia in on line catalogues and exhibits.

Here is an exhibit frame [1865-1920] of New South Wales Impressed Revenues from one of my exhibits which is at present sitting in Jakarta awaiting judging!

Thank you all for your replies. Another facinating path opens up!

I checked the ozrevenues site and barefoot but no luck for this period.

Is there a catalogue for these? I am also interested in crests and monagrams.
