Just a question: so these dry stamps once the stamps have been soaked off envelopes, and are used so that there are no creases/curls etc.? From my experience soaking stamps, this often happens, and I just used to leave them out to dry.

It seems the Desert Magic books don't need another plug, but having used mine for a few weeks now, I'll chime in and say they're great. Much better than my old method of pressing between pages of a stamp catalogue. I'm tempted to order some kiloware just so I'll have more to soak now that I've soaked my way through my accumulated box of mail clippings from the past couple years. :mrgreen:

Just a thought... How will someone store this "Desert Magic" drying book? I am living in Singapore, hot weather with high humidity is a big problem.

I have dry cabinet (those that used to store photography items) for storing my collections.

I am interested in getting at least a pair of this books but worry about proper storage for these books.

They are like a stockbook really .. just stand them up or lay them down when done with and are dry.

HOWEVER, I've had a large rush on these and am totally out of stock after I send Bazzano wahtever i can round up here.

The other dealers I supply in the trade are too.

I will bring some more back from overseas next month.

In the MEANTIME I'll move this thread out of sight!

BACK IN STOCK!

I've sold HUNDREDS of them in the past year.

They are not listed on my website - Australian retail is $A38 each. I import them direct from overseas, so can offer at a rock bottom price.

Price is $A55 for TWO books

Or FOUR Books for $A100.

Unreg'd postage anywhere within Australia is only $A10 for the 2 or 4 books.

Air Postage to NZ is $A16. I mark them as "Books only" (which is true!) and NZ customs will not bother looking I'd say and hence no GST.

To Asia it is $A20 post, and to Europe or USA $A25, and nice stamps are used as always on packets.

Overseas Registered add $A5 if you need that cover, but I doubt for $A55 or $A100 you need to bother (your risk tho)
