Australia 1939 10/- Sheehan McFarlane Banknote. $A95
A well circulated note as you can see - it is 73 years old after all!)
Even so, far better looking than the very lowest “in the bin” Very Good" grade (which in McDonald #20 is $A115, and next lowest grade, which this is more like "Fine", is $A265. Next up - VF is $625 - and that is still for a pretty worn note.)
“Fine” in banknotes is the 2nd lowest grading – see the McDonald table of it above!
Grading Banknotes has never been my big skill, but I do get quite a few turn up in estates – this one was laying flat between pages of a 1960 SG World catalogue I noticed - nearly by accident!
So priced to clear fast from estate, at WAY under even lowest possible grade, and it is a ton better than that, I think?
Great thing to tuck away, to show the kids and grandchildren of what our currency looked like before the War.
Or, add as a curio frontispiece to a KGVI Stamp Collection.

STATE that on order form – cost is extra $A4 local, and minimum $A13 extra foreign. 'All risk' Insurance is always possible if required, at $A2 per $100 covered - again it
must be specified on order form.
