An invaluable reference tool.

Look at how often people start a thread asking "what is this stamp?" or looking for info. on a cinderella. These books are a compendium of answers and background information on everything under the sun philatelically.

3 volumes, a total of 882 pages, A-Z listings. Well-illustrated throughout in B&W, also includes maps.

Not a 'normal' encyclopedia, this is geared specifically for stamp collectors, so it will tell you what all the lingo is that "we" use, gives short intros to 'dead' countries and places most people have never heard of.

All-in-all serves as a great tool when you want a fast answer to a query about an item, and wikipedia doesn't have what you want, and/or Google is giving you 100,000 results.

Written by Kenneth A. Wood, editor emeritus of 'Stamp Collector' newspaper. Published in 1982, hard cover. Each volume about 10" high, about the size of a hardcover novel.

Selling for $30 plus post, which shouldn't be too bad.

Am in Canada until 10th July, so can ship from here, after that will take them to Hong Kong with me. Both places offer seamail shipping to reduce cost, and I use nice commems on all my mail. Payment accepted by Paypal.

Sold to Jim.

I'll probably bring these back to HK to post (returning 12th July). I dread to think what postage would be from Canada, even by seamail, although I can pop down to the PO and ask.
