**MOD HAT ON**

Moved this from "Knowledge is Power" thread to the more appropriate "Wanted to Buy" thread.

**MOD HAT OFF**

You were specific in the choices for the NZ catalogues, do you have any special OZ catalogue you're looking for?

Both NZ Cats are about 10 bucks current editions from the publishers with cheap local post. Why ask here?

Even if someone offered you a 5 or 10 year old copy free, post exceeds cost of a new one to you.

"I posted here because I thought that there may be someone in NZ that has 'old copies' of both NZ & Oz, that they want to sell/get rid of. Can't seem to find 'old' copies on auction sites despite asking.

Thought members on here might be more 'helpful' to a novice trying to sort thru 'kilos' of stamps.

All I remember is that the OZ cat. was about the same size as the NZ one (LJ?) There's a few stamps that I want to check prices for, before I decide whether to keep/sell/give away.

So if someone in NZ has 'old' catalogues let me know. Cheers.

Hi Avatar Fairy - Missed you! You didn't wave your wand - many thanks for the photo. Maybe you could wave it some more and help me get some catalogues.
Cheers.

Hi John,Thanks for been so helpful. I had a quick look at your site. You have some very interesting books, which I like. What a pity I didn't join sooner as we have a friend arriving in NZ today from Canada. He could of purchased the books for me and brought them with him. He comes to NZ every year around this time and stays till Feb/March.

Just a small point regards the ACS simplified catalogue :

This was completely revised pricewise in 2010 - almost all prices being marked downwards from previous years price levels. This in response to current market conditions.

So just be aware that the ACS Simplified catalogues previous to 2010-2011 - that you may encounter - show non-current pricing levels.

They will, of course, give a "rough" idea of value on a "simplified" basis.

I suspect, but am not sure, that Len Jurys simplified catalog will be similar.

Both catalogs are available online :

ACS here >>> http://www.aucklandcitystamps.co.nz/catviewer.html

Len Jury here >>> http://www.lenjury.co.nz/

Hope this helps :D

Dave.
