Now that's a real shocker!

In Business School, my final paper was on the stamp market in Belgium...I got a great grade, and I suspect that's partly because my Academic Sponsor was a stamp collector himself. He taught Economics of Energy Production as I recall, and had been a Belgian Minister of Finance. He died very recently.

Go figure, and I only have male friends (not sure why, it's always been that way). But that isn't my fact.

I am certified in both western herbalism and Ayurvedic herbalism (just herbs, not full out Ayurveda). I had to find some way to supplement my art income after my MFA - and the museum/foundation scene was a little too uptight for me. I certainly don't have the people skills or patience to attempt teaching. So herbs it ended up being. I still do them part time, only cosmetic now though (other than a few herb/drug interaction consultations with local doctors and pharmacists). I even opened my own small (very small) herbal soap company last year and really enjoy it so far. :D

Nope,

it's because most female students seem to prefer Biology, and to a slightly lesser extent, chemistry (among the Sciences).

BTW, my wife was my student.

I had an affair with my composition professor for a while and then he retired and turned into a priest (which I am pretty sure isn't a good thing concerning me - at least I didn't turn him gay I guess).

By the way, as to the above, this must be why every class I take of yours someone at some point asked me if I am a Biologist. I always thought that that was the most random question but I would just say "no" and then they say "oh, so you are a Geology major then?" And I say "no" then they say "so why are are you here?" And I say "because I am a student of Dr. S's." And they go "uh ooo - huh?" Seems I actually knew one of the current ones pretty well too, I was talking to him the other day after class and he knows where I worked in 1995, my history with Kevin, etc. And I just can't place him, he looks familiar but I can't remember him from anywhere specific. Someone who was here as an undergrad, left for a long time (like 13 years) and just came back maybe?

I batted 1000 the last season that I ever played Baseball.

(True!)

... bunted first time and got to first, then a safe hit,,,and broke my foot going into second. I had forgotten that we had non sliding bases, I went in one direction, and my left foot in another. At 40, I decided that it was not such a good idea to continue.

Two safe hits, two at bats...perfect.
