Surely you don't hate this one, it's practically in your
back yard (Outback, 2005).

Black and white spots along the belly, probably easy
to identify.

It's all a question of mind control. Repeat the mantra,
"the snake consumed my mother-in-law," thereby ridding
you of two problems with one fantasy, since the snake
then expired of dyspepsia.

Good shot...

That just makes me want to go for a ride in a helicopter again... seriously, the best mode of transport invented by man, so cool! I've only been in one once, up flying through the French Alps and glaciers in Chamonix and just the way they move is amazing and tremendous fun. But I reckon I'm badly due for by second booster shot!

Wonder if I can snipe one on ebay

I remember watching Outbreak once, a few years back. I thought it was a pretty crappy film to be honest, but I really did enjoy the helicopter chase - that really was awesome!

Thanks, Clay! The video was shot at Ohio State.

As a 1967 grad of Ohio State, I heartily approve all this
fun. The bow-tied gent at the end is OSU President Gordon
Gee, much-beloved, now in his second "term." He was the
President from 1990 to 1998, left OSU to become President
of first Brown University, then Vanderbilt University, then
was BEGGED to come back, which he did, in 2007.

I have all my endless medical work done at OSU Medical
Center, twelve miles down the road from my apartment; you
can't find better care anywhere. Well, uh, Cleveland Clinic
maybe, if you have deep pockets.

I might have posted this before, but it's worth repeating;
Pink Floyd concert at Earls Court, 85 minutes, have not
seen a better video. Hit "Reload" if it doesn't start in
5 seconds, sometimes it's balky.

The All Blacks are good but - like Roger Federer - can they possibly be this good?

After the tennis ace's extraordinary "William Tell" video clip did the rounds - in which Federer serves in a studio and knocks a can off an assistant's head twice - the Kiwi rugby stars have come up with a miraculous training sequence in a new television promotion.

The video, appearing on Sky New Zealand's Rugby Channel, shows All Blacks players Piri Weepu, Cory Jane and Rene Ranger pulling off a series of unlikely precision passes, kicks and catches at training.

An All Blacks spokesman said it was up to viewers to decide whether the display was genuine.

"The guys are three of the real characters in the team and had a lot of fun shooting the promo and we hope fans get a bit of a laugh out of it as well," the spokesman said.

Sky Television New Zealand also declined to comment on the video's authenticity.

At least they caught the two arsonists.

It was a shame that the pier had been derilect for so long.

A lot of people had been working really hard to ge the council to compulsory purchase the pier and hand it over to a trust, run by the people of the town. Last night they announced that they were looking for architects to submit designs. And now this. :x

It was fantastic in it's heydey - and not so many years ago (well, in the 60's and 70's some great names played there - Hendrix, Floyd, Hawkwind, the Glitter band (not so great) to name just a few.

I thought of a Dictaphone or wire recording
device. Since all radios were battery-powered
until 1927, it is not out of the question that a
recording device could be battery also. This
clip was not necessarily a two-way conversation,
although it looks that way.

from Wikipedia:
"The first wire recorder was the Valdemar
Poulsen Telegraphone of the late 1890s, and
wire recorders for law/office dictation and
telephone recording were made almost
continuously by various companies (mainly
the American Telegraphone Company)
through the 1920s and 1930s..."

Good thought Doug,

It's just the size that gets me, I just picture anything electrical around that era as so much bigger...

Surely you don't hate this one, it's practically in your
back yard (Outback, 2005).
