Many more were destroyed when I soaked them leaving the eyes, arms and legs in the water :lol:

Its been 2 years since I last hunted these' mutant' fruits and vegetables; that was when I could still get GB commemorative kilowares cheaply and safely into Malaysia

odd shapes are usually mutant from the normal, when seeing a mutant form of already mutant stamps is very interesting and funny.. I'm very much interested in exchanging a set if you have any spares.. let me know your interest...

Picked up this cover today in a local dealer's mixed cover box:

Ragged condition sure, but "show me another", and 100% commercial (return address on reverse is a freight forwarding agent). How many people are interested in this sort of thing to make it saleable on eBay, that's the question.

I don't know if this has been done before, but a US souvenir sheet of stamps, shaped like America, with perforations outlining all the states of the union would be cool. It would be a sheet of 50 stamps. About normal for many sheets.

I note the US is curiously absent from this bandwagon. Oh, there are a few, like the minerals set, but few and far between.

These seem like a fun way to interest children, and adults, in stamp collecting.

I don't have a picture/scan handy right now, but I have a pane of triangular stamps from the US.

I also have a triangle from Mozambique and a bunch of Hungarian and Mongolian diamonds.

I'll come back and add pics if I ever get around to scanning any of them!

Some really interesting stamps here though. I'm glad I checked it out! Thanks to everyone for sharing!

My bi-weekly pickup of mail from the GPO yielded 2 items for this thread (frankings on the envelopes themselves).

Canada, from a set honouring Canadian astronauts.

Iceland, something about food I guess (the scan doesn't show the great gouge out of the top, victim of tearing the odd shape out of the sheet I guess)

These are my "odd-shaped" stamps. Very similar to ones from Tobago last year. Round with gold foil highlights. Two are identical (4F 50c) and say only "Postes" which I assume is basic "postal" The other two say "Poste Aerienne"- obviously "air mail". Other than that I've no idea about these (as to value) but they are eye-catching on the envelope!
