If you want to get a base collection of a new country, I could come up with 900 or more all different Canada stamps.

Topicals in exchange of interest would be bugs, trains, moths and butterflies, sailing ships, horses, or perhaps a new topical you may suggest. You may combine topicals to come up with the 900 total. If you feel that you have 500 total and in your mind that's worth the whole Canada collection, let me know and state your reasons. I'm open to possibilities. I realize this is an apples for oranges type of trade.

I realize this is an unlikely trade, and I may not get responses, but I'm putting it out there for the chance of a decent trade.

I counted the stamps in the album, and the number stands at 1061 as it is. However I noticed while I was counting through the pages that I could fill more in on top of that. It's a used collection but there are some nice coil stamps, some nice B.O.B. and G and OHMS overprints, postage dues, airmail, special delivery, a nice Bluenose and Olive Green $1 Parliament Buildings, $1 Chateau de Ramezay, 5 Large Queens and 11 Small Queens, three shades of the 1898 Christmas Map Stamp, Admiral Issue complete up to the $1 Orange, the full Confederation Issue of 1927, the 50¢ Blue Grand Pre, the 50¢ Violet Munitions Factory and the 1$ Destroyer, etc.

I could add many more modern because the album skips from 1982 to 1992 then stops at 1994. Hundreds I have to fill in those years.

To cut shipping costs I would carefully unhinge them from the album though, the album itself weighs quite a lot.

If anyone wants to see scans of any of the stamps mentioned just ask.

Although these may not be what you are looking for I am offering you a Ships on stamps collection. These are yours free, for your generosity on other threads and the Close-up thread which I enjoy. If you want them send me your details. I am also open to any counter offer since the qty is approx 300 and conditions vary.

Wowzers, Maddog that's awesome! I'd love them ( although I'll be scanning and posting them for weeks..... )!!!

Is there anything I may have that you would be interested in?

This used Canada is probably old hat for a Canadian collector. What are your interests?

These are yours for your generosity for your give aways for the young collectors.

They are just sitting around collecting dust and not of any use to me. My collecting interests are Canadian, American and Scout/Guide topicals. If you have any Scout/Guide related topicals or memorabilia. Modern used Canadian, or American late 90's to present. These would be appreciated but not necessary.

My wife would apreciate you accepting them so I can "appear" to be clearing out some stuff. I'll even add her to the offer. Boy, will she be surprised with how much I'm willing to part with.

I have used modern Canada, but I'll send you my address first. I'd love those ship stamps.

You're better off waiting a bit for the modern Canada. I have 3/4 lb. of current modern on paper coming in the mail, I'm soaking a few pounds of post 90's right now, plus I'm scouting for more at a show this weekend. I'll send you what I have in the next couple of months.

I'm buying three more desert magic drying books this weekend, which should help to speed up the process...

......and thank you very much... :D

I took her hunting once and she wouldn't stand next to the deer so I could check to see if my scope was sighted in, so I don't think she'll be any better at fishing. However add a rope and a couple of rocks and she may be a great anchor.

I got your email and I'll post these in the mail to you this week, and drop her off friday, she's fine with the dog house but has requested fresh water three times a day.

Her only request was for me to stop watching http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVGVJGX--o0

Maddog, just got that 3/4 lb. in the mail today. It's mostly 2010/2011. Zodiac, Fergie Jenkins, Sunflowers, Spirit of Olympics, Royal Wedding, Girl Guides, Pow Wow Dancer, Celebrating Gold, Canadian Navy, Carrie Best, Home Children, etc. It's a nice mix.

I'll send you some as soon as I soak it and sort it..... :D

Just came back from Shoppers Drug Mart they are in the mail. No shipping label, a variety of actual stamps including a "Miss Supertest III" boat related.

I asked the lady if they hand cancelled there and quicker than I could say "carefully", bang, bang, bang, bang they where canceled.

Enjoy.

uncadonego,

Is you offer still open?

I appreciate that this is not exactly what you were after, but I'm cleaning out a few boxes and can probably put my hands on at least 250 topicals (including horses, dogs, moths/butterflies). I can then make up the balance to 900 with all different Australian, if it is something you're willing to consider.

Cheers

Staples

Uncad enjoy.

Any thing post Unitrade 1399 would be appreciated. Over the past two years I have been slowly working on a six foot tall skid of uncatologued, unsorted hoard of CDN, US and Scouts on stamps that was left to me a couple of years ago, of course with no literature, except for a 1976 Scott US/CDN catologue and a few SOSSI flyers. By the time I get around to looking at modern cdn will still be a while so no rush. Unless of course you have a heart condition or bad cough.

Uncad I am still waiting for your acknowledgement and acceptance re. the three fresh bowls of water a day. If you are unable to provide this or think tap water is too expensive, I am willing to counter and pay for a 5yr contract with Canadian Springs if you can fill any bowl (including toilet) with water three times daily and take close up photos in near proximity to the canine domicile three times a day in lieu of formally providing said water directly to spouse. If these new terms are acceptable I with post haste will deliver said spouse fulfilling this contract, my wildest fantasy, securing my future retirement and sanity.

Will send out last page this week.

I found the other portion of my youth ships collection, if you want to make an offer, I can then pop them in the mail at the same time.

I need to know what you have in mind first. I'm spending a bit of money on a new horse building right now, so I'm not spending on much anything else right now. Plus I don't really know any values anyway. Do you have a value in mind?

Hi Maddog,

I finished the barn a couple of weeks ago, and I have been soaking whenever I can ever since. This last time I soaked 6 Desert Magic Drying books in one shot. Starting with 2011, make me a list of your empty album spaces, and if I have two or more of that stamp, I'll give you one for your album. I mean right up to current stamps. For example, I soaked a bunch of Royal Wedding, Fergie Jenkins, Spirit of Olympics, Mental Health, Chinese New Year, Scouting, etc. (They cost me $100CAD per pound on paper, I'm serious). Let me know what your holes are back to Scott 1399. I am obviously going to be missing a lot of them, but I may have a lot of them as well.

Hi guys, I hope you don't mind me popping in to ask uncadonego where you got the recent Canada kiloware? I'm always on the lookout for good kiloware sources. Just bought some nice stuff from an eBay seller for ~$25/quarter pound, all different stamps from 1997-2011.

Thanks,
Jean

The next time I talk to him on the phone, I'll ask if he minds his name being used here. I don't want to assume he doesn't mind.

Thanks. Alternatively, in a couple of days I'll be eligible for trading here, maybe I could send you some topicals for some recent 2010-2011 used Canada. I have to sort through the kiloware I just got to see how much of it was from the last 2 years, I suspect it's mostly before that.

Sure, go ahead. When you know what you don't have, send me some Scott numbers and I'll see if I have them.

Are there any topicals other than the ones you mention in the first post that you are interested in? Do you prefer mint or used? I'll see what I can put together for you.

Kind of the cart before the horse, maybe. I don't know if I have anything much you need until you know what you don't have.

OK I'll check, and get back to you soon. My 9 year old daughter saw my bags of kiloware and wants to help me sort through them. A budding stamp collector?? :)

I've got some recent Japan coming soon too, she'll love those.

Sorry I still owe you the one sheet. Haven't made it back to the post.

Want list is still the same 1399 on. I am not that organized so do not have a specific list, and only have the odd definative since then.

I also still have the other ships to sweeten the pot if you want them.

Hi uncadonego

I've sent you an email with the Scott numbers I need from 2010-2011.

I received your e-mail Canada stamper. I'll check against my stock boxes when I get the chance, at the same time working on what I can find for Maddog.

Canada stamper & Maddog, since soaking those six Dessert Magic books, I've soaked about 15-17 more. I'm sorting the most recent 9 books of dried stamps right now. I'm getting very close to being able to 1399 and up the both of you. Stay tuned.

Looking forward to it! I had a quick look and don't have as many topicals for you as I thought (although I do have a little). I have a collection of about 250 used Spain, should be all different, ranging from older to 1990s maybe, nothing very recent, which I don't collect - you're welcome to that if you are interested. I can also send you a nice selection of all different Japan, from 1980s to early 2000s. I have a ton of more recent Japan which I haven't had time to soak yet. Let me know what you would like, either here or by email.

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could take some of them as "on paper" some off paper mixed. I am just swamped with organization and soaking right now, lbs. and lbs. and lbs. It would save me some time and also you would get your stamps sooner.

Yes, that would be fine, I'll add them to the queue... :)

I know this thread is multi-directional, but I still have a half decent Canada collection for trade of a topical collection from my list.

Internet has been intermittent or gone for four days now, so this is a copy and paste text file because I'm tired of typing and already being disconnected by the time I hit "SUBMIT".

These are the ones I can send you now, cleaned and pressed. 234 stamps in all. As I go through more that I haven't soaked yet, I'll send you more. I'm submitting this record as a future reference that can't get lost.

It may take a while though, I have pounds and pounds to still trim and sort.

Can you two e-mail me addresses again? I'll try to get them off hotmail whenever I can. Hit and miss right now though. Frustrating. Hopefully my ISP will sort it out soon.

Maddog, I know you already mailed me some items, but please send me your mailing address. Monikers on the net are great, but they aren't on return addresses on old envelopes!
