I work in a post office as many here would know. We recently had an email from Australia Post warning us of a new email going around that tells you there is a parcel being held for you that is too big for delivery. It urges you to open an attachment to get the form to collect but the attachment carries an extremely nasty virus.
Australia Post, as far as I know, have not really publicised this. Our instructions were to wait until someone came in for their parcel and then warn them not to open the attachment. A bit late in my opinion. We plastered warnings all over the shop in places where people were sure to see them. We have had a couple of people come in to tell us they had received the email but had read the warning and deleted it.
Australia Post does ot have your email address. They do not use email to tell you of parcel deliveries. If you get this email DELETE IT>

I mentioned that one on this thread on the 20th of September.

For the amount of publicity it has received it must be a particularly nast piece of work.
