Hi, I hope I am in the right thread for this subject. Having recently acquired a number of Australian and States stamps from a relative I have started to take on the task of identifying any possible stamps which may hold a premium above the rest and could do with some advice/comments. I have a few with questions against them, but I will post them one by one so as not to go into overload, by the way I am new at this so bear with me if the information I give you on the stamps is not sufficient enough, just let me know and I will try to provide some more. I think the first stamp is a 1d C of A watermark 1931-36 Die 1 and is showing the kings eyebrow broken is this constant
has anyone else got one, I know some of the questions I ask may seem trivial and some of the blemishes/faults will be small, but I have heard that some of the listed flaws are as well, so bear with me please i'm a newby.

Many thanks
Ian

Red, Single Watermark, Single Line Perforation - "POSTAGED": white flaw after E of POSTAGE.
Although thought to be a one-off inking variety, it is interesting to note that this same variety has appeared in two different auction catalogues in the last twelve months. Both offerings were single line perforation printings.

GUTTERS,

Attached is the strip of three below the I/55-57 strip. Cannot see any marginal watermark lines on either of the strips, and am contemplating soaking them off to see if they line up as a strip of six, or whatever..

Can you identify them (hopefully)...

II/18

1st State Normal.

2nd State June 1928 - Final

2a Middle right shading. Almost vertical scratch usually cutting 3rd-7th lines of shading below, and to right of, wattle stem.

Notes; 2a Similar flaw on II/54 and VII/54. It is possible that only this portion of the long scratch on VIII/38 might show on rare occasions.

Would appreciate confirmation of this example, as Monk (Sect 5 P12) shows this scratch evident 1914 - Final.

I have a 1919 dated example (from a horizontal block of 12 - 6 x 2) that barely shows the scratch (believe me, it's there).

Can you add this one to the wiki, I know we have a green one there, but this shows the shade flaws slightly clearer.
