Any time frame for these? Found quite a few handy goodies at the one we attended last.

The auction times are set down for 11.30am & around 2.30pm.

We have had a rash of last minute withdrawal of helpers for tomorrow, so will be running the show a bit short handed - a few activities may commence a little late. Plenty of people advise they will be bringing auction lots tomorrow, so any who arrive late may find their lots confined only to the second auction (circa 2.30pm).

With a little help from above the weather will be much better than the last few days.
We will do our utmost to make STAMPBOARD members welcome
so look forward to meeting with you.

TimD,

We open at 10am to the public.

Fortunately, if you get hungry, you can purchase a light meal in our
dining area, and have a tea, coffee or soft drink.

Here are a few pix from the show.

A few of us got together for a bite of lunch.

I got conned to buy a box of 'Sale By Tender' unsolds at a big discount, which benefited the club coffers very nicely!

Offering many of them up tonight below on Forum below, so please help me move them - and assist the Campbelltown Philatelic Society!

Usually when someone is "well known" and you see them in the post office all the time, its the Wanted posters.

Darn, only yesterday I booked non cancellable return tickets to Mackay Qld, to do an insurance valuation on that weekend.

Had I known about this weekend, could have made Qld the next weekend.

They are well run and great fun .. hope a lot of members can get along - and please take pix!

Glen

Just finalising the list of helpers this comming Sunday.
We have so many auction lots pouring in (only 10% commission charged on lots sold) that the tables area might be insufficient to display them - still we can overlap if necessary.

An unusual group are 8 lots of Iceland FDCs with between 18 & 23 covers in each pack. Also one lot of 8 booklets with a $5 reserve,
with another lot of 3 miniature sheets from 1991 of old maps reserved at $8, Two 1999 Faroe Islands booklets reserved at $5,
and a Greenland 1995 "america overprint sheetlet series for $7.

The Community centre (Queen St, Campbelltown) will open at 10am.

Some booklets from Iceland which, on further examination, are all incomplete - stamp (or stamps) having been removed.

Have amended the description so the lot will be correctly described.

An interesting set of three (3) overprinted minisheets from Greenland, in a multi-language folder. The stamps within the sheets are reprints of the 1945 issues, known as "The American Series".

The reserve auction price is $7.00.

Half a dozen of the Iceland 22 FDC from year 2000 which are being auctioned with a reserve of A$20.00 this Sunday.
Stamps from that country are so clear, & of such a high quality -
makes a fellow want to start yet another country collection to add to the many already assembled.

The 8th Fishers Ghost Stamp Fair has just concluded, with more attendees than in past years.
The dealers reported increased sales & appeared satisfied with their financial returns for the day.
There were too many auction lots, as forecast, but all were crowded onto extra tables. At the conclusion of the second auction some unsold items were offered at as little as half the reserve.
Whilst many items went to new homes at estimate reserves, some were the subject of spirited bidding. One with a $25 ticket was finally knocked down at $130.

As the local club gains 10% on sales, there should be a healthy bank balance shortly, however the totals have not yet been calculated. Our thanks goes to Campbelltown Council who provide the venue & much local publicity. The entire Fisher's Ghost festival has activities which go for more than a week.

More happy snaps from the fair.

The Campbelltown Civic Centre is fortunately air conditioned as it was 33 degrees outside.

Image
Camden Coins took up a table, but we failed to advertise their presence. Luckily there were many inquiries, some sales & a request to purchase a lifelong hoard of coins on inspection later this week.

Image
The club sales table was well patronised.
