While I don't normally comment on catalogue values, IMHO this stamp is overpriced in ACSC at $125.00 Mint & $200.00 used.

W41 C.b. Punctured OS [ This stamp is commoner than the previous Olive-green shade with OS Puncture. The Non OS Puncture price whick is too high should not be used to price this stamp.]

Browsing Ebay tonight I noticed this item from the thief stamps_fishing.

This stamp was never Punctured OS. It is forged and not correct anyway.

Hopefully anyone reading this will not bid on anything this maggot is selling.

I find it sad that people like stamps_fishing and blue owl stamps are doing or have done a lot of damage to the hobby.

And yes I know there are many others.

The thing is, if they can be stopped someone else will just take over.

Hi Snaws,

For what it's worth, I think it would be a crying shame if you would stop this thread now, as it will be the absolute definitive guide to WA stamps. I have been fascinated by the depth of knowledge that you have brought to this State and having a soft spot for WA myself, I was really looking forward to seeing the completed work (especially what you had to say about the one pound swans from 1902.

Others have commented very favourably on your work and I am sure that I would not be alone in hoping that you carry on, despite the dilemmas that you are facing.

Yes, I saw that thread. the very concept is troubling. even if the 'manufacturer' is honest, he cannot stop what happens after he sells them.

On another thread I mentioned a seller that had a very dodgy OS overprint 2d K/Smith. Well, it wasn't dodgy, it was a plain fake. It took a few emails to get him to take it off sale. I pointed out to him, when he said he had discounted the price (it was with a 6d Airmail OS), that by selling it he was just encouraging someone else to sell it as genuine. Very acrimonious it got, too. Bought from a highly reputable Melbourne dealer (someone I would know, apparently). I suggested he return it to said dealer.

Anyway, continue on with the thread. I am sure I have some items to share, when I get a chance to pull them out.

So It sold for $36.99 with no bids for a few days and no last second bids. It looks like your thread on "stamps_fishing" may be working. Hopefully people are learning that if it's a private listing they should Google the name. I know I do.

He bought it for $10.80 Punctured it OS and sold it for $36.99, A lot of effort for nothing.

The stamp is Perf 11 ACSC # W60 A. with a catalogue value of $400.00 [ The Perf 11 stamp was never Punctured OS.], If this moron had of just relisted it correctly described and not adding the fantasy OS Puncture he would of made a profit Honestly.

ACSA list this stamp C.T.O. in Red-orange, I have not seen a C.T.O stamp in this shade. [ ACSC have made a lot of mistakes with the shades and watermarks [ for Western Australia C.T.O.] in their Catalogue this may be a mistake for the stamp above Yellow-orange.]
