Danny if you wanted to you could rotate this image in photobucket now if you wanted to, as long as you save it as save to present image and the above image would show up as rotated. (just a tip)

the same picture digitally rotated sure is estetically more correct I must admit

Any experts on albums in Photobucket? I've only created one album and it is getting a bit messy.

If I move an image in Photobucket to a new sub-album, will it break contact here?

Also, is there a way to get a list of image names I have posted here? I would like to check what I have attached so far?

Thanks & a picture of a place we like to go,
Pat

I have scanned and uploaded my favorite stamp to Photobucket,
using the 800x600 constraint.
When uploading it as an Avatar on my prophile, however, I hit the
73.4 Kb limit: my scan is a GIF file of 134Kb, the smallest type I
get using Photosmart on my Mac. Any way around this?

Thanks in anticipation!

Hi Hankams

I've sent you a detailed private message re loading your avatar.

The image needs to be resized which you can do using the resize option in Photobucket
Double click on your photobucket image and you will see some drop down options including 'resize'- then select the 120 X 160 option, save the resized image and cut and paste the DIRECT link into the edit avatar option on the User Control Panel on top right of the SB homepage

Cheers

Ah Gutters! You've just beaten me to the post  I'll add my 2cents anyway:

Love the Muir Woods image, Pat...a great place for sure and surprising when it is virtually in the middle of such a large city!

Re Photobucket images, moving them between PB albums will break the links becasue the URL will change.

Re getting a list of images posted to SB, all I could suggest is going through your posts and right clicking on the mouse and opening 'Properties' to see the URL of the image. You could then compile a list of URLs to match up to your PB album.

What I do is have two PB albums going, one for SB and a personal one to help keep tabs on things.

Cheers

Margo,
In my initial haste to post I was a bit disorganized. I think moving forward I will make a sub folder for new SB files, and keep better track of images and my file naming conventions.

Thanks,
pat

I also need to create some subfolders on photobucket. I have about 50 pages of random photos in one album - it's a pain to find the photo I need...

I simply upload the photos just before I use them on Stampboards. That way the photos I need are always in the front page.

:) :) :)
When you have over 5000 in one account and another 1500 in the 2nd you need sub folders

No rules broken and a good first attempt.

With a combination of Picasa and Photobucket you can straighten the image and crop it. It would also help if it had a dark background to highlight the edges.

It is better if you use Photobucket as most here do.

You can always get help in this forum with posting images, somebody will always pop in to assist.

I'll be here for a few hours yet so if I see you practicing I'll come and have a look at your masterpiece :D

Now you have to go to a forum where they will get all the members opinions on your stamps (be ready for all sorts).

If it were me I would place a new topic in "NO question is too basic or silly - you ask - we WILL help you with it!"

Correct.

All images will have [img] and not img] .......... at the front ... and not [url] which was Turnip's first mistake.

Very easy to remember.

Folks the 'PREVIEW' button is here to precisely solve these kind of things occurring.

Have just spent the most frustrating 4 hours of my life at the computer.

Despite reducing the size photobucket still produces oversize files and now refuses to download any further photos.

Unless I can think of anything else I will try opening a new account tomorrow when I am feeling a bit fresher.

Peter.

Peter .. the photo you loaded above but messed up the code on, looks perfectly fine to me.

However weirdly it will not load up here for me either!

It is only 480 x 573 and we allow 850 x 850 here.

http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj523/mundarrah/OnePoundJimmy-1.jpg

Can anyone else load "Jimmy's" stamp here?

Hi Peter- this really is bizarre- I just uploaded it too from my photobucket with no problems.

Just a note- if you do set up a new photobucket ac tomorrow you will need a dfferent email address I think otherwise it will identify yo as already having an account. If you don't already have a secod email jut set up another gmail a/c.

When you do set up the a/c before you upload just click on the green upload button then scroll down until you see Customize your upload options (its in very small type) then click on this link and set up your default as 800 X 600.

Good luck!!

Bingo MargoZ, I found it near a camp site from WWII, soldiers who were based up here from Australia & USA I believe, thousands of soldiers near Herberton, Ravenshoe and Kairi. Great scan I might say 8)

As you can re see, it is turned OFF for everyone, so focus on mastering the things we DO enable I'd suggest.

Hi, thanks, that is obviosly not the problem then. I have been trying to post an image for over 12 hours now so sorry about the focus issue. I may have to go down to the local primary school and recruit some help.
I have set the size to 800x600 and the preferences to the correct img code and am able to cut and paste the code but it keeps telling me that the size is too large and wont allow me to post.

peterb, go to the top of the page here where it says search. Click on that and in the search box type Photobucket and there are great instructions in there for how to do it. If you still cant get it come back here and let us know and maybe someone can help. :D
