Hi guys,

I need some help, my gut instinct is telling me that the stamps are real. However, I have a bad feeling that the VG perf for this stamp is fake. Please let me know what you guys think. If it is fake I'll be contacting the seller. Thanks

http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj5 ... G_Perf.png

I hope this works, never used photo bucket before...

I thought if there is any holes that weren;t properly perfed is odd, and also if it isn;t properly perfed it should have the part of the image of the stamp, where as these don't? But the stamp seems real to me? That is why I'm very confused and need advice!

thanks
rammy

wow, I've just had a look at another stamp that I have with an OS Perf, there is only 2 holes that slightly has a bit of paper, and they don;t have any print of the stamp on them either? But this stamp also looks real, same as the 6d kookaburra? This came from a different seller too. Both have 100% feedback as well, so maybe they are real?

Please let me know, so I can enhance my knowledge of perf stamps.

oh I forgot to say, I'm using a magnifier 30x So this is probably why I can see so much detail on the stamps...

Hi glen :) thanks for the Perf gauge received this yesterday, it is fantastic :)

The 3d kookas came from glenno28

and the 6d kookas came from blue-lazer

what do you think? are they both real? or are they fake?

I've just realised blue-lazer is a member of this board, then I guess they are both real :) Well I hope so ;)

I'm a bunny in perf overprints! Don't normally collect these...

Please confirm this, Glen Stephens.

Hi, Ramona,

We have got a "Should I buy it?" thread, so you can ask the question before you buy - might be useful for future reference

Well you typed it.

BUNNY.

Blue Lazer's strip is of course fine.

Re the 3d Kookas, A bunny is someone who paid $56.50 for an off centre pair of forgeries, that any REAL dealer would sell you genuine copies for far less, in that grade.

And in a year a REAL dealer will still be here to refund you. This fake ebay forger handle will NOT be.

Why newbies in stamps run around ebay bidding like maniacs on material they admit they know nothing about truly astounds me. Do you buy "genuine Rolexes" in pubs on Friday nights for $50?

glenn028 is no connection to me but he bought these recently made OS fake overprints.

You bought the fakes off him.

Neither of you had the sense to read stampboards, or you would have seen your fakes shown before and after the forging of the "OS".

More fool both of you, and you are BOTH victims.

So I suggest you mail your fakes back to glenno28 for a full refund.

And suggest he mails the back to nsb13579 for his refund. And BOTH of you report him and his other fake handles to ebay, for knowingly creating forgeries. 100s of them, via a swag of fake handles

glenno28 needs his brain examined for bidding on ANYTHING from a "PRIVATE FEEDBACK" seller in Australia, which spells FAKES in huge capital letters to anyone with an IQ above 10.

traralgon3844 wrote:
I started this thread like that to show that everything on eBay isn't what it seems.

Anyone who had a look at the auctions run by unistamps will have seen that they were all private.

Private auctions are generally the hallmark of someone with something to hide. Just like private feedback.

The big problem with that block is that unistamps had sold it before the two occasions in the opening post when it was part of a block of 8. He obviously bought it himself to be in a position to later perforate it OS. Hence the reference to shill bidding.

Take a close look at the block depicted below. As you can see it was sold by unistamps and was not perforated OS.

Pay particular attention to the block of 4 at the left. I am sure you will agree that it is the same block, but oddly enough there are no holes in it.

What say ye now?

This forger has been reported to eBay but it appears this sort of activity appears to be fine by eBay as he is not NARU. Carry on like this on Delcampe and you are nuked in an instant.

Current sale on ebay.

This is a match to this pair sold by nsb13579 on 19th Jan. Posted earlier (Identical perfs, centering & perf OS)
Image
Which was half of a block of 4 Perf OS, which was half of a block of 8 without Perf OS.

Unfortunately I cannot ask a question or report an item as I do not have a login ID for ebay.

Well send your fellow Bunny, glenno28 this thread below, and he too can read on how he was conned with overt fakes, and hope you BOTH report the heck out of these crooks -

http://www.stampboards.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=34464

Suggest he joins up here to save himself money and his ebay reputation if he keeps offering fakes from these clowns.

Glen

Oh wells, you live and learn.

Certainly lost confidence in these OS perfed stamps, I think I'll only buy from members on here...

Don't worry I'll be reporting this nsb17.... seller, not impressed!

I see that glenno28 has bought a few items from nsb13579 and knowing how the forger nsb13579 works I will bet London to a brick that nsb13579 offered him some off eBay perf OS bargains.

If glenno reads this I would suggest that glenno gets onto nsb13579 and asks for a refund on the forged crap.

But a refund is not likely to be forthcoming because nsb13579 and unistamps have set their feedback to private and I would expect they are not taking calls. (From hoards of disgruntled victims)

I already contacted glenno, left him a message so hopefully he reads this soon...

Thanks for the tips and advice guys, will be more careful in future!

Ramona you mail it back to Glenno, as he sold you a recent forged stamp pair that you can prove is forged.

You foolishly bid WAY over retail from any real dealer, so you are lucky on this occasion.

He presumably sends it back to Unistamps for a refund to him.

As Traralgon says, he might have been suckered into a "bulk buy" of fakes - possibly "off ebay" so he is toast for getting a refund on those.

I hope he joins here, and learns from his foolishness.

Too bad. Losing money is a powerful lesson.

Both of you should report the heck out of all their current accounts for making fakes to con you all. "People power" works.

Oh wells, it is a lesson learnt and thank gawd not too expensive of a lesson. I am fortunately very lucky in this case!

Sigh, did you read ANY of the threads on these cons or the email I sent out?

It is clear that -

stamps_fishing, nsb13579, unistamps are one and the same account.

Each are shill bidding on, and often re-selling, each other's forged and/or regummed lots etc, when the prices do not get high enough.

All that breaks so many ebay rules I have lost track.

All run "Private" auctions, that only the biggest BUNNY would ever bid on re stamps, and the latter 2 have now gone to 100% Private FEEDBACK even, so you cannot even see recent bidder IDs in feedback.

Get those reports in to ebay - 10 or 20 of them, and the 3 accounts hopefully are all wiped, saving real collectors and sellers having their legitimate stamps devalued by these fakers.

ebay now have set up a portal JUST to report suspected sellers of forged stamps and forged perfins and regumming at - http://www.ebay.com/scw - there is space for 10,000 characters in your reply, so all the relevant info can be added - like their linked accounts, also selling fakes.

Also every active lot has a "Report Item" tab that you can click on as well. Do both and hopefully the TRIFECTA will occur and all 3 are wiped forever joining the other 50 accounts ebay have banned of these forgers.

Thanks so much guys, I really appreciate everyone's help.

I will in future be a lot more careful when it comes to these silly perfs! I don't think I'll be buying these perf things on ebay at all!

Thanks again :D

Please take an hour and make a fuss Ramona in every way you can ... if every stamp victim does that, they'll get sick of it soon enough, and go away and forge Driver Licences or something.

And scarce stamps can STAY scarce, and all our stamps will hold their value.

That does sound good to me!

I've just realised to complain about it the item needs to have feedback first otherwise I can't complain about the item, I don't want to complain about Glenno28 it isn't his fault, it's who he bought it from...

Hrmm, I either wait until I hear from Glenno28 leave feed back and then complain about the seller he bought it from (nsb1759), or searching for an email address for ebay! Either way nsb1759 will not continue... hopefully will end up forging drivers licenses ;)

I also hope Glenno28 joins this board! It certainly helps a lot!

Ramona your claim is against Glenno for selling you forgeries.

You have no idea if he will join, and that is irrelevant - so simply tell paypal you want a refund, and state you have sent them back.

NOT leaving feedback is better really, as it shows you were not happy with it.

So far he is just a Bunny too for buying fakes off folks with Private Feedback, and this is a $55 lesson to not do that again.

They start new selling accounts each month as the last 50 have been closed down - ALL use Private Feedback, so if the Bunny Army ceases bidding on ANY Private Feedback sellers for stamps, he will have no market left.

When you get the $55 off him he presumably will be annoyed, and HE will chase the other crooks with gusto.

YOU can report them too using the links about - you do not need an email address.

Well I haven't done too bad if that is the first fake I've come across!

Thanks everyone, thank gawd for stampboard!
