I will know Saturday what medals my exhibit won or if they did, if they did the show coordinator will take a picture of it and e-mail it to me. This will be the first test of the new and revised three frame exhibit. It was a shame I could not be at the Philadelphia show to speak to the judges direct. I hope someday to go to a show with my exhibit and be able to interact with the judge.

When I get the judges sheets after I read them, as I did with the others I will post them for new collectors or exhibitors on what to do or not to do; I hope the others helped someone.

Random question!

FDCs:

When a FDC has a gummed flap, should you lick it closed; fold it in; or leave it out?

A personal choice, but licking it is just......... and can be done later in any case.
I dont usually fold it in, for earlier reasons of possible back damage, or if the gum discolours and seeps through it has only one layer to stain, but if it a press"n"seal or other that may seal itself if left open, then yes, I do fold that inside to keep seperated.

Well then, at least I can now put my feet up for the winter. No need to concern myself with football again this year.
Bring on the cricket.....
Of course we lost to Brisbane Lions.
 It was our home ground.
 They travelled half a continent.
 The winter weather did not suit them
 Brown was out for them, captain and CHF, and we pinched their rising star in Clark.
 Inspired for Jimmy.
 New coaches full of ideas
 Two debutants, to shuffle off the used never quite was's.
 Home crowd cheering for us.
....Why else would we loose to the wooden spooners.
I am so upset that I cannot even have a quiet drink.

You had UNIFORMS???? LUXURY! We had to play starkers and could only wash when we could break into the local swimming pool (we were too poor to pay the ½d admission).

Waiting to find out if my LGBT exhibit won any medals, I hope one of the two individuals will take pictures for me and let me know how it did. It is a three frame exhibit, not a single frame as I entered before which was a mistake.

My Dag exhibit is getting there.

Someone should tell Melbourne's homeless people that the bins at the MCG are full of discarded Melbourne jumpers and scarves ... should be timely for the approaching winter.

I am getting upset with my LGBT exhibit. I took all the advise the GOMC's gave me along with the Manual of philatelic judging and made it a three frame and it still won a certificate of participation. The judge wants to communicate directly with me about why it got what it got.

Baring useful feedback and providing they entered it in the display division I am upset, what more can I do :?: . I guess I will wait for the judge to communicate with me. I took the advise the last two judges gave me and still why? :x

On a more happier note I discovered another unknown postal strike India 1946 no material but it occurred.

I am not mad at anyone, just mad at that what ever I do it can't seem to get a higher award with it. I hope they entered it in the correct division and give good feedback, but I am not mad at anyone.

Philly I thought that was cruel of MargoZ also, but I'm keeping my head down- we were with the WCE til half-time, then 3 missed goals ( which for professional athletes were a soda) and the team dropped their bundle and the WCE took full advantage. I was glad to see the umpiring was up to its usual standard........

I was "on line" too...but apparently, if you did not have the window actually OPEN to STAMPBOARDS it smartly recognizes that you aren't really "on line" so you don't get counted.

So...were you just logged in, or were you actively "on line"? I'm guessing it is the former... and like me you're out of luck for the pretty jewel.

Sorry about your tips PeterS but they will win more than a couple of matches. Take out the Kemmedy, Lynch and Matinui and they're not all that good, I think the Hawks would have their measure.

I think I figured out why my LGBT exhibit failed at a medal, I tried to add three pages on aids through stamps I realized that the two don't go together. I already made three replacement pages for those aids stamp pages. I also think I might have used one two many non-philatelic related items to exhibit.

But what do you do when the people in the exhibit have little to none philatelic material issued? When I get the exhibit back I will see if the judges sheets concure with my thoughts. The judge wants to communicate with me personally by e-mail to discuss why it got what it got.

I think experiementing in a philatelic exhibit is not wise to do if you are seeking medals. I hope they entered it in the correct division.

It is like comic books, but you have to try hard, rather than read at a glance.

I went to my chemist yesterday, and requested a supply of Viagra
The chemist enquired "Do you have a Doctor's prescription for that drug." :?:
I said that no, I did not have a prescription, but I could show him a photo of the wife
