Perhaps not the best executed game, skill-wise, but what an exciting contest.
The logic of AFL was to the fore today. Two weeks ago Collingwood was thrashed by Carlton; last week Essendon smashed Carlton. Yet today, Collingwood gets over Essendon. Figure that one out logicians !

I was flipping through the cable channels at Hagnaya Beach Resort here in the Philippines, and accidentally came across the Pies vs. Dons game on one of the channels from Australia ... glad I did!

What a game! I was standing in front of the wall-mounted flat-screen almost biting my nails as the play went back and forth! The Pies seemed to have great difficulty in getting any contested marks in the final quarter ... I thought for sure the Dons had it when they kicked that goal with less than two minutes to play!

Then there was the (successful) video review on the Pies winning goal. I never knew the AFL had incorporated video reviews on goals.

A very loud cheer from me as the buzzer sounded!

I also found the game on a seldom viewed cable channel here..........watched the better part of the 2nd half with my daughter and really enjoyed the game (even though my daughter had to Google the rules for us to understand things like "why all the whistles, but nobody stops running"?).

My Jims Mowing man came yesterday, having just recently got back from Thailand. (I really did have the wrong career). He saw the Geelong v Hawthorn game, real time Broadcast, there a couple of weeks back. Footy sure does get around.
