Hi all,

Just need someone to look up a recent Scott catalogue for me and provide catalogue number and prices for the 1/7 cattle stamp:

Scott 144 - 158/60 - $35 mint and $16 used in 2011 Scott

And nice too

The 1/7d. has the highest CV of any stamp of the 1958-1960 issue. The 2012 SG has it at £5.50 for mint and £3 used.

I always thought the 2/5d. vermillion was a better colour though:

Catalogues are catalogues, there are often vast differences in values for the same stamps. That's the way it's always been I'm afraid.

Curious.

I would have expected differences of the order of 0 to 20% ... the 300% difference threw me.

Perhaps it's because US sellers call them "Cowboy" and there's a big demand from topical collectors.
