Hi Guys,
These are something my father has, so as yet, I don't have a pic.

He has a set of 4, running serial numbers starting with HK 50 beneath, uncirculated CofA One Pound Notes. (ones with the queen on them) Coombes and Wilson.

I have no idea what-so-ever as to the value, and can't find anything about running serial numbers on the net. (would that add more value)?

Also, he has 2 Five Pound running serial numbers, starting with TD 04 beneath, CofA notes, uncirculated. Can anyone tell me the approx. value of these? And if so, how would the best way for him to sell them be?

If it helps, I will be able to get a pic tomorrow of them.

Thank you
Arlene

Hi Arlene
As a rough guide the One Pound cat is about $300 and the Five Pounds is $1,000.
Sometimes running numbers command a premium, sometimes not.
As these are not particularly scarce there may not be much of a premium.
Have you tried any of the auction houses, or perhaps an email to Greg McDonald?
Expect about 40% of retail -or put them up here first to see if there are any takers.

Ummm
Please don't use a camera
Alternatively -please use a tripod
The 10/- (not previously mentioned) won't sell in that grade.
Greg's address as per his catalogue is
greg.mcdonald@optusnet.com.au (I have told him he should sign up on this site).

Hi Doug,

Apologies for the blurry pics. I have redone the five pounds. Unfortunately father has no P.C. let alone scanner, so I had to take the camera around. :)

Thank you very much for your help. Much appreciated. :)

My dad is 79. He bought a DVD recorder/player over 6 months ago, and though many have showed him, he still can't use it.

He isn't allowed a P.C.

I don't think he would have the time Skippy. I never received a reply to my email to him.
