Yes I certainly do believe in ghosts ! :shock:

I have a reasonably regular visitor in my house that walks down the central passage,the hobnail boots can be heard as clear as anything...The passageway has carpet down the middle ???
We are talking of a house that is over 100 years old..polished wooden floorboards...
When we first moved in we put pictures up all around the house,quite a few in the lounge room especially.When we woke up in the morning the pictures in the lounge room had been taken from the walls and placed on the lounge suite.This continued for a week or so until I thought hmm someone or something is not happy with those pictures..they were mostly of large daffodills..So we moved them from the lounge to other places ie we swapped them with other pictures..No more moving pictures...

We also found that small items were "missing" never to be found.. :?:

My male cat has experienced the footsteps a few times ,he gets up and walks to the door to look up and down the passageway,his hair kind of raised up :!:

It certainl spooks him :!:

There has been lots of other things but nothing malicious ,I certainly dont feel its anything to be afraid of... :lol:

That is an interesting story,thank you for takeing the time to share it with us.
Hob nails are miners boots,in saying flowers don't seem to be appreciated.
Have you ever tried talking to your ghost?
I would be interested in the outcome.
If your house is 100 years old it would have many stories to tell ,is good that spirit is friendly.
Is your house on acreage or town block??

My house is on two town blocks.The house was the living quarters for one of the original hotels (Doyls Widgiemooltha Hotel) and the remains of which are on part of my property.I still use the coolroom and another small room for houseing my inverter and batteries for power...
Out on Lake Lefroy (a large salt lake) on an island is the local cemetery..The largest enclosed section is of the Doyl family graves.by enclosed I mean the old cast iron railings found in many cemeteries...Very spooky walking around out there let me tell you..and for a large part of the year you have to walk most of the way out to it..
No I have never talked to the ghost ....

Being part of an old hotel explaines a lot to me.
Is Widgiemooltha hotel in a gold mineing area??
Good that you have a friendly spirit,don't be afraid to talk to it,other than the pictures of flowers you are living in harmony with it.If you weren't i feel you would have soon learned.
I feel if more people like you shook off the veil of fear and ignorance that surrounds ghosts, more people might see the truth and tell their storys.
Ghost and ufos are there to be seen only if you believe.

Yes Widgiemooltha is an old gold town.I believe that at its peak there were 2 or 3 hotels,plus shanty pub shacks out in the bush.The railway line went through here..The old station was across the road from me.Plus it had a salt works and many other things..Nothing left now but about 5 houses and a roadhouse.Not many people even realise that people still live in Widgie,as the main road now does not go through it.All they see is the roadhouse..They are also mining nickel around here as well as gold..But with the nickel prices going through the floor that has all but ceased !

OK, I'll hang myself out there like a prat. One point though, I don't like the word ghosts, they're spirits.

I was a complete sceptic before I met my wife. It was only after I had been living with her a few months and saw her father standing in our hallway that my attitude changed. He died five years earlier and I'd never met him.

In the same house, I was standing in the kitchen washing up (my wife must have been busy :lol:

), and I turned to see a tall blonde guy standing behind me for about half a second before he disappeared.

Enough?

In the same house, a pelmet box in our bedroom came off it's hooks, turned 180 degrees and landed on our bed. The night we came back from a week's holiday.

Our current house isn't immune either. I've seen a shadowy figure, very tall, hunched, old, walking down our hallway.

I don't need to convince anyone else. I've seen them and have no point to prove.

I have had the same type of encounter as you,in a house that would be over 100 years old.
I am not going to split hairs with you ,but a ghostly figure is what i saw.not a spirit.
You appear to have a aura about you,that enables you to see people that have passed on from this world,don't be surprised at anything that will, not may happen in time to come.How you use the information is up to you,but i hope you will pass it on so ether sceptics may be enlightened and open their minds.
You don't have anything to prove,I agree .
But as Glen said knowledge is power,and should be shared.

A true story: When I was in Samoa, I ate an Indian-apple. (I think that that is how it translates into English. The Samoan is ApuIndia.) Anyway, it was night. The old aunt of my friend at whose house I was visiting became all agitated, saying that the "aitu" (= ghost) which lives in the tree allows all to eat the fruit, but only during the day. It would be angry because I took the fruit at night. The next day my mouth was all swollen!! Now, I've eaten the fruit many times before, and since, and my mouth did not swell up those times. (But they were always picked during the day.)

Another: In the village in which I lived, Malie, there lived a bird-ghost. It would give its bird call at night whenever a chief of the village would die. It happened several times while I lived in Samoa and chiefs did die. I, myself, actually heard it one night. Sure enough, the next day a chief died.

So, when in Samoa, I believe in the spirits, but not back home.

Old cultures and beliefs are there for a reason,I do not dought anything you have written.
Even in this so called western world there are beliefs and history.
The trouble here is no one was taught the old ways, even in the aboriginal
culture it is not taught,but i did hear the elders are trying to revive the old ways.

Serving on a warship in the south pacific years ago, a dozen of us were smoking in the flight deck when at the end of the deck a glowing tip of a cigarette was seen by the senior chief. He was pissed and stormed off to yell at him as it against the rules. It was about 10pm, raining, very dark night. The chief came back a few minutes later, white as a ghost, saying there was no one there. No way out from there apart from over the side. Us brave sailors then took off!

A bloke was killed at HMAS Penguin in the 80's. He was drunk and waited for the antique lift to come to his floor. Old type of lift with a cage mesh door, he pulled it back to see where lift was and was decapitated. Afterwards, the lift moves between floors late at night by itself. we had trustworthy people at all levels one night to see and yep, it would start up without anybody touching the brass button.

Bloke committed suicide on a warship at Garden island in the 80's. For years afterwards till the ship decommissioned, people reported a feeling of intense cold in that compartment, despite it being near a very hot engine room.

I do believe in ghosts.

I have seen quite a few as i used to go out and try to see them, now i know not all of what i have seen maybe ghosts but some most certainly ( to my mind anyway ) were.

I remember one night when my brother and i went to a local castle that was reputed to be haunted.
After a few visits of not seeing anything we decided to go just one more time and boy were we glad we did.
I remember the night being slightly cold and it was in late summer, we walked past the main entrance and were just about to walk up a footpath when we saw a white mist, we stopped in amazement as it turned out to be a very clear manifestation of a knight which scared us half to death.
I remember it being so clear and i will never forget it.

Also i live in a house which is over 200 years old and have had some weird experiences since i have lived here and still do to this day ( shadows mostly seen now and the odd orb ).
One night i put my keys down on my side cupboard when i woke up they were not there, they were in the kitchen area and i was the only person around and i don't have a history of sleep walking ever.

Strange...................

Please tell us more of youe adventures with the unknown.I'm sure there will be.
Did you try speaking to your ghost or were you speechless?
Have no fear with what you are living with but learn what is about you.
Never mock what you have seen,take it as a gift,there are lessons to learn and you are in a prime position for it.
The Keys that shifted position i believe you may have a friendly ghost.
Try leaving various items there and watch the out come,you may just make contact, that would be fantastic.
I envy your position live and learn.

I have so many stories to tell it would take a whole forum

It scared me at first living here as these experiences scared the girlfriend more than me ( although i do admit to being slightly scared at times ).

But i have actually sort of made contact with one we know as " Walter ".

When i lie in bed sometimes the girlfriend and i notice the bed shake, i said stop it in my mind one night and it stopped immediately.

Also the place i live is an old hose which has many rooms ( like a hotel, 14 in all ) which are rented to various people.

On the stairs which have 3 landings, one for each floor you get a very eerie feeling as if someone is watching you, i have dared to look down and its always on the 1st landing you can sometimes see a figure.
When i see it it sends a cold shiver down my spine.

The house used to be an orphanage way back for children who lost their parents at sea as i live in a seaside town, it was very common for both parents to go to sea for fish, crabs etc.
The building also has a connection with the local church.

I'll tell more later.

Maybe i should write a book about my experiences ( something i have wanted to do for a while ).

I also have a photo taken last year in a cemetery which clearly shows 3 ghosts which i believe to be monks which i would happily e-mail to anyone who'd be genuinely interested to see it.

I also believe in UFOS and i used to research those and have some stories about those too.

You have opened the door to something i have been trying to for a very long time.And i thank you for it.
Jerry as long as nothing outragous has happened to you or your girl friend i would be thankful for it.
I honestly believe you have a gift that makes it possable for you to see ghosts.Don't take the gift lightly it really is a treasure that you can use.

Tell me more about Walter,how where and why there is generally a reason, i must admit i am curious.
A cold shiver or preminition is a warning go slow,in time after you accept what is in your house,i feel all will be revealed,have faith in that you have been accepted and privileged to see.
I honestly believe that you will see a lot more of what is around you.
don't be impatient your ghosts have probably been there a very long time.
By all means write a book about you adventures with the unknown,i would love to read it ,when it is finished.
One on ghosts and another on UFO'S.
Jerry do you have a scanner that you could use to place your photoes here ??If not i would love to see it.i will send email.
There are a jolly lot of sceptics and unbelievers on this stampboard
so don't be down heartened at any thing that might be said,you know in your heart what you have seen and heard,and i'm right there with you.
Would please me greatly to give them something to think about.

I have sent you the photo, hope you find it interesting.

I know there are a lot of skeptics on here and those who say i could have made all this up and or that ghosts are not real etc and to those i say, you can believe what you like and i have no problem with people saying so.
But i know what i have seen and experienced through the years of investigating and seeing paranormal activity.
some of the things i have seen and herd have really scared me and others have made my belief even stronger.

It all started about 28 years ago ( i am now 34 ) when i lived on an Island in the western isles of Scotland.
I was watching the shooting stars with my mother when all of a sudden i saw a ghostly figure floating down the road.
I quickly told me mother and asked what it was.
She said she could see it too and it lasted about a minute or so.
A number of years later when i was in my teens i overheard a story to old woman were talking about.
They were saying that an old woman had lived in the house down the road from me and was married to man who was very nasty to her.
He did a lot of untold things to her and used to lock her in a wardrobe for hours on end without food or drink.
In the end the old woman had had enough and took her own life.
I told these woman of my encounter and they told the story again saying the ghost had not been seen for years.
After a lengthy talk it is believed the ghost i saw is the ghost of this old woman which is rarely seen.

I believe the truth is out there, you just have to look for it.

People if you have a story please let me know, i am very interested in this subject and i go out to look for ghosts and ufo's.

Do not be afraid of what people might say or think, for those who believe talk about it, for those who don't they still read it so they must be at least curious.

Good for you,in time people will change their minds after they trip over something that they don't understand.
Yes i received the photos.the first one is the clearest,in it i can see 4 images, i would say 4 siting down and a 5 one seems to be talking to them
with arms stretched out in front.
I will try to find someone to post the photo on the thread,they can make up their own minds if anything is there of interest.
Will be very interested in the book when it is finished.
Keep the stories comeing and who knows others might bite the bullet and post a story. keep your eyes on the counter .

Hi Guys.

I forgot to mention earlier about " Walter " the name given to a ghost in the house / hotel where i live.

Walter is the name the landlord gave the ghost / spirit years ago.
I knew nothing of him when i moved in here and until i saw something for the first time in here.

I kept quite about it for a while but the encounters kept coming so in the end i told the landlord and he said that there has been quite a few people who have seen and experienced things.

Since then a lot has happened in here from Orbs, Flashes of light, Shadows, Things moving etc.
I quite often see things in here and only just 10 mins ago i saw a flash of light, quite a big one ( it is now 13.52 GMT here. )
Now whether this is paranormal or not i do not know as it was just a very quick flash and i didn't have any equipment with me.

I am going to start investigating these things a bit more, as i used to in the past.

I have probably seen about 50 or more ufo sightings and around 30 - 40 ghosts and seen countless other things like orbs, etc.
I have also once had an encounter with an poltergeist who threw spanners in a motorcycle repair shop i was visiting as i knew the owners.
So you see i have a lot of experience with these things.
People say to me " how come i never see anything ? " i simply say " Because you never go out to look ".

I will write more and explain my methods of how i used to go ghost hunting and sky-watching for UFO's.

For anyone interested in going Ghost hunting or UFO watching i will say this.

Most people assume graveyards to be a good place to look for ghosts.
Although some have been seen there it is ( in my experience anyway ) not the best place to go as i have visited a few and only seen a few ghosts ( most recent being 2009 ).
Try and do some research and find out where ghosts have been seen, the type of ghosts, who has seen them, what time of day etc.

Hey Guys.

In my last post i said i would explain how i went about ghost hunting and sky-watching,etc.

So here goes.

I first would do research, find out about the area you are going to or are interested in.
Find out what has been seen there, where, what time of day.
Before you go, take if you have them a digital camera and a digital video recorder to capture anything.
Take a notepad and pen to record anything you see, write down the date, time, temperature ( take a thermometer, digital one is best ), and what you see.
A torch, warm clothing and food if your going out for long periods.
This may seem obvious but obtain permission if you are going onto private land etc.

When / if you see anything try not to be scared ( easy for me to say ) and try not to spoke the ghost ( this may seem silly but it is surprising how many vanish if your noisy ).
Try and get a picture and record as much as you can.
If anyone else has seen the ghost/ufo or whatever ask if you can interview them and try and get as much information as you can.
Most of all enjoy it and share it with us.

This is just an insight of how i went about ghost and ufo hunting.

Next post i'll post a very close encounter i had with a UFO.
