I went along to the daytime meeting here this morning - found some stamps and also found that I knew a few of the people there. At one point there were more ladies than men but not so by the end.

I was not the only first-timer there was a young mum there with her littly boy - about 6 or 7 (not sure what happened to school!

They were outbid on a few auction items but got a clap when they won a 'Harry Potter' set. Good stuff!!

Hope to try out the main club meeting as well.

Just a question of Ron (probably) or anyone else who attends.

I have a number of 'old' cigar boxes and cigarette tins (very mixed condition), do you think they would rate an interest in the auction tonight, (I assume there will be one), I know a lot of collectors seem to use them for stamps.

I'll put this on the GOMC thread as well, as I am a bit late asking the question.

Also a question on the number of lots allowed. I was given a 'pro-forma' to list my items and I see that it says 5 for Mini Auctions and 10 lots for auctions. I know last time (in my ignorance) I did more than the 5!

Yes Ann the Boxes would be ok at the Auction,as they are very useful for collectors to carry their tweezers,Magnifiers,Rubber stamps, also Real Stamps.
Although Watch out for Harry who Collects them TOO.

As for the Number of Lots, generally max of 10. per member, but if there is not a lot being on offer that night,,,we can always fit a few more in, :?
Just remember to have an area clear where the "Boys" can put the Lot Numbers.so I can read them, without getting out the Magnifier.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY for TOMORROW ANN.
