I can't wait till this French movie, Le Vilain (The Villain), comes out on DVD sometime with English subtitles! (Or if someone would like to pay my airfares, I'll go and live in France for a year and then I won't need subtitles! :lol:

It's happened before and will happen again. Of course it's a major problem, but by no means the biggest ever - see wikipedia. Go back to 1910 for the biggest ever, in California - 9 million barrels. I bet it's still soaking in.

Just for the benefit of anybody who is not aware:

"It (Deepwater Horizon) is owned by Transocean, operated under the Marshalese flag of convenience, and is under lease to BP until September 2013." "BP is the operator and principal developer of the Macondo Prospect (of which Deepwater is a part) with 65% of interest, while 25% is owned by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation [US], and 10% by MOEX Offshore 2007, a unit of Mitsui [Japan]."
Nonetheless BP have said BP will compensate all those affected by the oil spill saying that "We are taking full responsibility for the spill and we will clean it up and where people can present legitimate claims for damages we will honor them. "

Yes, well I hate spiders more than you do, I bet. If there's a little one, then he's dead before he knows what hit him! :lol:

But as for the big hairy ones... oooh! :shock:

Just the thought of them gives me the creeps, the way they move. I would probably die of a heart-attack if a tarantula decided to crawl over my shoulder like they do in the movies. I'm not scared of the orcs in the Lord of the Rings anymore, like I was when I first saw it at the age of 10, but I still don't like that scene with Shelob.

Snakes, on the other hand are fine. You just gotta keep still and make like a tree! :wink:
