The great thing with digital camera is that you can play around with the contrast and colour.....experiment!

I lived with Koreans in Juan, Incheon for 3 years and I only came back to the U.K to study Korean at Uni.
Reminds me of a kind of paradise, fantastic photos.

Some new photos of Busan and Seoul. First up....my first baseball game in Korea. I have to admit that I know nothing about baseball....but I did have a good time at the game with other teachers and some of my uni students.

There comes a point in the game when orange plastic bags are handed out and you tie them on your head......this is apparently normal at Busan baseball games.....never having been at any other games I can't comment on the Major League.......the fans were CRAZY all game...never stopped cheering, had a song for every batter (is that the correct term?) and sang to the last minute, even though their team lost 11-2 !!

A teacher from a few years ago told me that he saw several 7 feet tall beer bottles walking along the road......the guy was known to drink a bit, so I ignored him...however....

At a staff night out, we decided to go to a "German" theme bar, great beer brewed on the premises. The food however was rather strange.
On the one plate....bananas, grapes and other fruit, cheese sticks, cheese burger, pork, chicken, sausages, and of course in the centre.....an ice-cream-filled bread basket
I lived in Berlin in the past.....I never saw sausage and ice-cream on the same plate ...but like I said....great beer.

I've been on holiday recently, and finally had a chance to try out my smartphone camera. Here are some pics of a couple of hikes.

40 minutes from my apartment to here....this is the base of the mountain (Geumnyeonsan)

I spent about 6 hours hiking and photographing the mountain. In the picture above you can see a bridge and the sea in the distance. On a different day a friend and I hiked up and over the mountain, down to the beach in about 4 hours...amazing the motivation you have when picturing pub food and a cold beer at the end of a hike

There were about 100 frames of exhibits and they were mostly thematic.
People had put together displays of their personal collections and included stamps, covers, postcards, photos and phone cards all related to the theme. I liked it.

Apologies for the quality of the photos. The hall was very badly lit for a stamp show. It was impossible to get shots without reflections of roof lights and spot lights etc.

There were quite a few collections of stamp booklets. The Stanley Gibbons Korea catalogue doesn't show stamp booklets these, and I have never seen them on sale. I never knew these existed!
