Congratulations capetriangle! What an amazing collection!

I remember as a child seeing some triangular stamps (of this type) with no perforations, in "packets" in the local corner shop and thinking someone must have cut them off. I still hope they were fakes!

It's Friday the 13th here, almost the middle of November.

Can we please get a nomination or two for the current month?

The nominations cost nothing but can make a nominee very happy. :)

Thank you!

Thank you very much for this honour! (You may change the legend if you wish- I don't often win things- a think the last time was a childhood raffle!).

In terms of the prize- thanks again but I would like, if possible, to have this donated to a, perhaps local, young persons' stamp club or school (perhaps in Aus. or N. Zealand?). Hopefully this might stimulate some interest among some youngsters in our great pastime!

Just a small suggestion which I hope won't be taken amiss- would it be possible for the (recent) winners and the thread names to be published each month to avoid too much duplication? (Will probably obtain the Wrath of G...!).

Anyway- thanks again- as I hope is the case for all Members it is a joy to share my interests with other Members and to learn about theirs.

I'd like to nominate Elkra for the December post(er) of the month.

He has run for a couple of years, and continues to run numerous weekly fun Rugby Union prediction competitions each with lovely prizes, all of which take a mountain of time to organise and update.

I know he does this for the fun and the benefit of the SB community rather than personal credit but his threads and generosity are worthy of the nomination.

An example of these competitions can be found here:

I'd like to nominate JoelK
for the Formula One competition 2020
https://www.stampboards.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=93102&start=50

Joel (with the able assistance of Marco - Matmex keeping score and tallying up everything) has run the very popular Stampboards Formula One competition for many years now, but this year was particularly challenging, given all of the uncertainty, an cancellations, and the fact that it was a totally moveable feast due to Covid.

This didn't stop Joel from delivering a lot of fun for Stampboards members as well as providing wonderful prizes for each race.

I would like to nominate Eli, if its allowed not for a single post or Thread but for his volume of work including especially the huge number of posts on and support for Laos Philately.

I think one of his earliest posts was https://www.stampboards.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=29258&start=200

The Laos thread which now occupies 17 pages and from page 5 has posts from Eli on every one, with his posts accounting for over 7% of the total. Eli has also illustrated many pages from his extensive collection, all of which are beautifully written up and presented and include a lot of information and original research.

Just my tuppence worth.

Happy Christmas

Sark
