In Haarlem there is one major stampshop, see: http://www.postbeeld.com/en/contact/
it has also the 'largest' internet stamp shop (if you're interested), see:http://www.postbeeld.com/en/.
In Amsterdam you have Kloekbv and they certainly sell catalogues:
Here is their address:
There're many other little stamp shops in Amsterdam and presumable in Haarlem as well, look for these words in the city centers (maybe they help): postzegelhandelaar (stamp dealer) and filatelie (philately).
I hope you will have a pleasant stay in Holland and that this information is useful for you.

When I was there a few years ago I found Amsterdam has plenty - mainly on the same street, with one or two just around the corner (lucky for me my hotel was on the same street!). There's even a weekend bourse. Hopefully one of Stampboard's Amsterdam members can give the necessary details.ecwk wrote:I will be visiting the two cities later next week. Could you please point me to some good stamp shops where I can buy some good catalogues like Michel/Gibbons/else? Many thanks.
Personally, don't remember too many Michel catalogues on sale in the Netherlands (though I wasn't looking for them either). Germany is your best bet for Michel. I understand if you have the ISBN number you can ask a bookshop to get them in for you too.

Go to www.nvph.nl
select Ledenlijst (memberlist) from the menu
select a "plaats"(city)
and you get the members in Amsterdam or Haarlem.
The four members in Nieuwe Zijds Voorburgwal and Rosmarijnsteeg are close to each other.
