Dear Brad = BigSaint, you are a very intelligent person.
Proof: You scored highest on CMJ's first quiz, and retained first place in cumulative score
after the second quiz results were recently posted.
So, do please choose entries in the current Alphabet Game by their Genus.
For instance, the following are genera: A —> Acacia, B —> Banksia, D —> Dendrobium, and
now that Terry = Ubobo.B.O. has brought it to your attention, E —> Eucalyptus.
However "cactus" and "eggplant" are not genera, they are common names...

Thanks Brad = BigSaint, all is forgiven. Yummm, Cirtrus is one of my favourite genera.
That includes some of the less common species, particularly cumquats = kumquats (Citrus japonica).
And thanks Terry = Ubobo.B.O., Gardenia is another of my favourite genera.
One of the large shopping centres near where I live has many gardenias planted beside its inner walkway. They are hardy, and flower for long periods, their perfume adding extra pleasure to the shopping visit.

Olives are widely planted in gardens but are not always grown for their fruit. This productive, long-lived evergreen tree from the Mediterranean is also valued in gardens for its good looks and heat and drought tolerance. Young Olive trees have slender trunks and silver green leaves. Reaching 5 to 7 metres high they are used as shade trees or as hedges or espalier and can be grown as potted plants or as topiary specimens.
