Why aren't definitive stamps sold on e-postoffice? Also I have noted many stamps of the current definitive series are not available freely. Can anyone help me out?

Valid question, I suggest tweet to India Post and see what they say..... They do respond sometimes...

To my surprise, I received a reply from the india-post from their official twitter handle stating that they would resume sale of definitive stamps once they have it in stock.. Wonder what that means, but I am happy that atleast they responded!!

Send me a PM regarding what all you require from the recent series...I have some spare and will let you know if I have them. Also, try visiting the older POs in your city, you might just be in luck and come across some scarce to find definitves.

Click on the username of the person whom you want to contact which will take you to their profile. There you will find an option to send them an email. However, it is visible only if that person has enabled the contact option in the settings.

thank you for the information. I tried doing it (for may users), but in vain. On reading the FAQs, I learnt that i need to contact the administrator. can you please share information about contacting an administrator??

The new 8-digit commodity classification for imports was adopted from April 1, 2002.

4907 00 10 Indian Unused postage, revenue or similar stamps including stamp-impressed paper of current or new issue
9704 00 10 Postage or revenue stamps, used or unused
9704 00 20 Stamp-post marks, first-day covers, used or unused
9704 00 0 Postal stationery (stamped paper), and the like, used or unused
9704 00 90 Philatelic accessories

Import
The import is free for stamps other than those covered under heading '4907 00 10'.

The import of items covered under '4907 00 10' is restricted. Specific permit or license from the Director General of Foreign Trade is required for import of items under this heading.

Custom Tariff
There is also no Custom Duty on of stamps other than those covered under heading '4907 00 10' where it is charged at the rate of 25% of the face value.

Any one seen the South African version of this - has it been released? There’s some one selling it online but I can’t see anywhere that it’s been issued in SA

Yes, I have it, will post it later.... It's not released by SA post as the quality delivered by India Post was unacceptable by them.

JI with Japan was not the same design plus not released on same day...If my memory serves right... But it is a JI..

I have seen a various WhatsApp groups the JI list is entirely wrong... As per me there is only 28 Joint issues from 1990 USSR to 2019 S.Korea

Thank you, I won’t mind adding it to the collection even if it was a withdrawn issue but considering the SA issue is at 750 and Japan at 1000, am definitely looking for buying at the right price. Any suggestions for a reliable and right priced seller please?

Well then you are sitting on a goldmine if the Japan rates are right

Am not sure why they are high. I was filling in my gaps and hence found the price

If the price sounds reasonable for SA MS then I will go ahead buy it while it is still available. I wasn’t sure and will rely on your advise since it is one of your themes too

Phila art (website) used to sell it for 100 or 150 per stamp i think..its out of stock in most websites except 'world wide mint'.
1000 sounds steep but I think its rare? My logic for splurging is.. These stamps will get more expensive in the future (+I hardly have contacts abroad) .
I regret not buying the Cyprus-India joint issue when it cost around 500-700 inr..Its now 1500 per sheet! (600 for fdc on ebay..but never bought anything from ebay..so not very confident abt 'shopping' there :p)
Same for Mexico India JI. It was 450/500..now its 1200.
Maybe get it as a birthday present?..

I think its coming down to demand and supply. While I have put the Japan stamp purchase on hold since am not comfortable with 1k price (I would rather put it in the pool for Rs.5 KEDVII which is the cheapest pre-independence am missing currently) , like S_ummer87 pointed out there is only one seller with the item atleast in known Indian online shops.....

In my humble opinion for JIs, Japan / Slovenia should be around 200-300 while the Cyprus "MS" maybe slightly higher but still around 500
