Part of another hoard of stamp frankings that just arrived from Glen.
1990 Colonial Australia Series part 4: ‘Boomtime’ set, Strip of 5 se-tenant 41c stamps, complete pane of 5 strips.
There would not be too many of these around. Less with such superb CTO CDS cancels.

True! An attractive multiple, especially with the printer's colour bars.
And the postmark suggests that we can identify the sender
But a friendly "watch your language" comment:
"Less" is the opposite of "more" for continuous quantities, like time or liquids.
"Fewer" in the opposite of "more" for discrete quantities, like people and stamps.
The distinction is worthwhile, because it aids clarity of thought.

I too got a heavy parcel with the same SG SOTW 2018 recently from Glen, and this pearl, along with some SON blocks of 4, came with it.
I have had my eye on the postally used $2.50 Opal sheet that he has up for sale here, so this came as a pleasant surprise.

Yes that $2.50 Back Opal stamp really does not show well in a flat bed scan, with the special metallic foil the PO used somehow.
In the flesh they are stunning looking stamps in my view - with sunlight on that Hologram thingy - SG tells us the Opal central piece was produced as an EXELGRAM - holographic printing on a thin plastic film embossed on the stamps.

Nice! But doesn't that opal look like an elliptical projection of the Earth with Antarctica drifting towards South America‽

Latest franking from Glen.
I believe I had a solitary 45c stamp of the Centenary of the opening of Federal Parliament prior to receiving these. None of the $2.45. And neither Mini Sheet.
The $1 Cockatoo booklet at the end I also have with first day postmarks (not FDI pmk, standard pmk from PO at Woden, Canberra) - I used to, like many of you probably still do, tie up a sales person at the counter for a good period of time getting various corner blocks, gutters, postmarked, etc.
I can't find the booklet at the moment, obviously in stuff still to be got to.

Meant to say, lucky Glen packs parcels well, box looks to have had quite some trauma but all is well with the contents.

THAT is how all members should sent $1.10 normal letters.
When you see the totally thoughtless $1.10 junk I mostly get from members and others, it is very disappointing.
