FWIW:

The first orders I did in this forum were to fellow members in AU and CAN. Also a couple more purchases outside to a French and a US guy. All arrived to Spain in timely manner, 5-10 days interval.

Right now we can't send from Spain to Japan, Mexico and Rumania; those countries specifically have barred post from here :?
I sent a Registered Air packet to Spain 9 weeks back - it arrived Friday.
Cheers from Sunny Spain,
Pablo

Canada still SUSPENDING all mail to some pretty big mail users like Brazil, South Africa, Argentina etc is a nightmare for anyone in small business mail order.

Thanks to the gradually relaxing Covid19 social conditions in NSW, I am now managing to clear our PO Box myself, rather than rely on our daughter to provide that service. Here is a nice item I collected two days ago:
.
.<br />UK cover, mailed c.17 May 2020, arrived Newcastle NSW 22 June 2020.

.
From an eBayer in the UK. Details of cancellation apear on the stamp images, so date and dispatching office not discernable. Contents were several items purchased 17 May 2020. One of those items shown — a classic NZ Chalon Head stamp, with barred C cancellation.
I believe that is C = Christchurch. Any expert confirmation/correction would be appreciated, thanks.

I looked up the document provided by AMark, it is a PDF file and they appear to have left off what the double asterisk means. Possible limited delivery, you'd need to contact Canada Post.

A "Priority Express" envelope from Glen took 2 days short of a month to get here. The strange thing is it went by air and the Australia to US part was fast. It took a week to get out of Australia, then almost 3 to get out of customs and here from San Francisco.

Current mail seems to be working just fine from Australia to most places. It is the stuff mailed in late March and early April that is in storage someplace.

David,

Canada all have been delivered from March & April, still a few lagging from late May but that could be because of Canadian Customs delays,

https://www.royalmail.com/prices2020
Prices are changing for Royal Mail parcel products to the USA from 1 July 2020

As a result of exceptional cost increases outside of our control, we are reluctantly introducing pricing changes for parcels being sent to the USA from 1 July. We are limiting the increase to only recover the costs we are experiencing.

These costs are a direct result of:

An increase of more than 100% in the fees the US Postal Service (USPS) charges for the ‘last mile’ delivery of international mail
Securing air freight at inflated market costs due to a 95% reduction in air passenger flights globally following the outbreak of Covid-19.

At Royal Mail, we always aim to deliver the best value international services for our customers. We fully recognise that these changes are significant. This was a decision we reluctantly took but is necessary in view of the increased costs borne by Royal Mail.

A number of eBay purchases from the USA which I had made around the time when flights began to be suspended (March/early April) have still not arrived as of today. Hopefully they will arrive sometime although I wouldn't be surprised if they're lost for good.

Interestingly, another item from the USA purchased in May did arrive some time ago, although it also took quite some time to arrive in Malta (about 1.5 months).

I had planned on ordering some spare parts company for my Alfa Romeo from the EU. They ship using German Post, and have only recently been able to post. Up till now, they've had to hold on to my order because parcels to Australia were apparently not going to be received.

Large letter from Denmark took a month. Still awaiting on a letter from Finland, sent almost two months ago...

Medium sized parcel took about three weeks from the USA. Not bad, all considering.

Mail from the UK to Australia here has taken only two weeks. Pretty normal, I'd say.

A fellow philatelist remarked to me that much of his mail from UK arrives without datestamps being applied at point of mailing. Items get Australian dated handling marks (typically from SWLF = Sydney West Letter Facility), but the postal history documentation of the handling of such items under Covid19 is almost completely missing. Often eBay purchases come without any accompanying dated note, so there is no content in such cover that could help to document the date and place of its entry into the mailstream.

Roger:

While there is likely no solution for the issue of no sender cancel, you could print out a reply email to the senders email to you that states when they shipped the item (if you have one) and place that back inside the cover. At least there will be a record of the time delay from sender's email to your receipt date. It may not matter 10 years from now, but 50 or 100 years from now someone may be thrilled to have some detail.

The one good thing I will say about the international mail is I haven't had anything actually get lost. It has all shown up eventually, despite delays, weird tracking results, etc.

Still haven't received any international mails since March though Indiapost confirmed earlier that we are supposed to be receiving incoming mails.

The scheduled international commercial flights will not start till July 31 so not sure when outbound regular mails will restart besides the costly EMS option.
