Canberra March 2008 "100 Years Of Scouting" PNC (Philatelic Numismatic Covers) are one of the hot things on the stamp market. Only 250 overprinted by Australia Post.
I bid on these at the auction mid March 2008 in Canberra, and outbid several very large dealers, as I was not going to let these slip past. And also I'd had a bottle of white wine! Cost to me for this trio was $1,700. More details on the show here - https://piurl.com/DN" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
These are the ultimate PNC trifecta - 001/250, 250/250, and the GEM of the trio - the UN-NUMBERED one. The latter is a major ERROR - like a missing color on a stamp. Sold them very fast at my cost as my donation to the Society.

Nice topic! I am a Eagle Scout myself and love these stamps and covers. I did a search recently and was curious how many stamps are out there for eagle scouts. I could not find any?? Does anybody know of any? If so please add them to this thread!

I would think the Bank's mark is probably scarcer than the postmark?

So I joined Scouts on Stamps Society International. Are there any other members on this thread that are members there? I am surprised that I cannot find any Eagle Scout stamps. Does anybody have any?
Here is a link to a very nicely done exhibit on the CZECH Scout Service. Apparently scouts in many countries have assisted in hand delivery of mail during war time or change of government. I have just started looking into this theme so if anybody that has more knowledge they can share please do so.
The classic portrait of BP used to make a Maximum card, with the centenary stamp. The cub scout is looking up at the founder!

Australia Post released a series of three Scout Stamps on 19 February 2008
The 50 cent stamp depicts Joey Scouts, Cub Scouts and Scouts in an action shot that highlights the resourcefulness and teamwork that is the backbone of the Scouting culture. A second stamp features a more global image that depicts the goodwill of Scouts from around the world. The third stamp features a commemorative profile of founder Lord Robert Baden-Powell.
waroff49 what a great theme for your new collection, will be no shortage of material to collect.
A vist by Lord Baden-Powell to Siam [Thailand] prior to 1920 resulted in the most enthusiastic support of Scouting by King Rama VI who became the first president of the Siamese Boy Scout Association. In an effort to tax the people for the cost of Scouting, three different "overprints", were made upon existing supplies of nineteen (scans below 13 of 19) different stamps honoring their kings.
Known as the "Wild Tiger Corps" the overprinting in 1920 shows the heads of tigers and the wording in Siamese and English of "Scout's Fund," part of the postage payment going to the Scout movement.
Here are some items that will be winging their way to Croydon on Monday!
In the summer of 1937, the Scouts of the world gathered together at Vogelenzang, the Netherlands, for the Fifth World Jamboree. Already the storm clouds of war were forming. It was to be the last such gathering for ten years. It was also B-P's last jamboree.
Here is a postcard postmarked at Ijmuiden for a stamp exhibition 10/4/37 with the 1½c World jamboree stamp. Also it has a lighthouse postmark.

I like these ones, I've made a major decision in what I want to collect and it's going to be my home country, and that would include all the previous "Independent Homelands" as well. Boputhatswana is where the world renowned Sun City is/was located.
