Next I am going to show a series of cacheted covers produced by Morris W Beck of Whitewater, Wisconsin, who was born on May 19, 1926 & died on January 17, 2011.

Morris W. Beck of Whitewater, Wisconsin was a collector & cover dealer starting about 1943 & stopping producing covers in the mid 1970’s. His most popular series of Naval covers was the set from 1962-1975 & consisted of 1000 cachets.

He also produced First Day Covers for many new stamps. His first fdc was for the 3c Baltimore & Ohio RR stamp of February 28, 1952.
Image
JFK fdc postmarked at Appleton which is 112 miles north of where Morris lived at Whitewater. Another cover has been seen postmarked at Appleton.

Morris had a prepaid cover service where he printed cachets on subscribers envelopes & arranged for their postmarking for a service fee of 2c per cover. Subscibers were asked to send 10 or 25 stamped self addressed covers to which Morris would add his cachets. With some exceptions Morris produced 350 to 450 covers each time.

Later he produced fdcs under the brand name Tri Color or simply "mb".

Much of this information has been taken from the website below prepared by Owen R Murray for which much thanks is given:
https://beck.ormurray.com/index.html
Morris Beck produced a set of at least 15 souvenir covers featuring newspaper front pages related to the death of JFK.
Image
Whilst it would be nice to be able to have a cover postmarked in the town of each newspaper, it is most likely these covers were postmarked only in D.C., Dallas & Arlington. At this time I don't have a full set of 15 from any of these three cities. So here I will show what I have for Washington D.C.

The Detroit News is one of the two major newspapers in the U.S. city of Detroit, Michigan. The paper began in 1873, when it rented space in the rival Detroit Free Press's building. The News absorbed the Detroit Tribune on February 1, 1919, the Detroit Journal on July 21, 1922, & on November 7, 1960, it bought & closed the faltering Detroit Times. However, it retained the Times' building, which it used as a printing plant until 1967, when a new facility opened in Sterling Heights.

The Times is a Gannett daily newspaper based in Shreveport, Louisiana. Its distribution area includes twelve parishes in Northwest Louisiana & three counties in east Texas. It was founded in 1871. From 1895 to 1991, The Times had competition from the afternoon Monday-Saturday daily, the since defunct Shreveport Journal. The United States' Apollo 11 was the first manned mission to land on the Moon, on 20 July 1969. There have been six manned U.S. landings (between 1969 & 1972). Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that landed the first two humans, who were Americans, on the Moon. Mission commander Neil Armstrong & pilot Buzz Aldrin landed the lunar module Eagle on July 20, 1969. Armstrong became the first to step onto the lunar surface six hours later on July 21 & Aldrin joined him about 20 minutes later. Michael Collins piloted the command module Columbia alone in lunar orbit while they were on the Moon's surface. Armstrong & Aldrin spent just under a day on the lunar surface before rendezvousing with Columbia in lunar orbit.

John Ranto was a prolific US First Day Cover collector and producer of a special line of his own hand made Postal Bulletin FDC's. He produced these covers starting in the 1960's and created them up to just a few years ago. These covers were created by hand folding US Postal Service Bulletins into a standard FDC size and then applying the current issue for the cover in addition to related combination stamps. He cleverly crafted these covers into mostly one-of-a-kind cachets or productions. In the beginning, Mr. Ranto created these covers for his personal collection, but as he enjoyed the process, he did start to create extras that he would trade or sell. Each of his covers is normally signed or initialed on the reverse side, and also coded, but not in every case. John lived in Hamilton Township NJ. He was an active member of the Hamilton Township Stamp Club as well as a Life Member of the American First Day Cover Society (AFDCS). These covers are one-of-a-kind items, although typically he did prepare anywhere from 1-5 of an issue, using different combinations of stamps.

When we think about the Kennedy Family, we automatically think of the assassinations of JFK & RFK Robert (Bobby) Francis Kennedy. We don't necessarily think of all the other tragedies that have befallen this family over approximately the last 75 years:

1941 - Rosemary Kennedy, who is mentally ill, is institutionalized following a failed lobotomy. She is the eldest Kennedy daughter of Joseph & Rose & sister of JFK.

1973 - Edward M. Kennedy, the senator's son, loses his right leg to cancer.

Joseph P. Kennedy 2nd, the son of Robert and Ethel, is the driver in a car accident on Cape Cod that leaves one passenger permanently paralyzed.

1984 - David A. Kennedy, 4th son of Robert, dies of a drug overdose in a Palm Beach, Florida, hotel. He was 28. Note RFK had 11 children.

1986 - Patrick Kennedy, the teenage (2nd) son of Sen. Edward Kennedy, undergoes treatment for cocaine addiction.

1991 - William Kennedy Smith, the son of Jean Kennedy Smith (the 8th of 9 children born to Joseph & Rose Kennedy & therefore JFK's sister), is accused of raping a woman at the family's Palm Beach, Florida, vacation home. He is tried and acquitted.

1997 - Michael Kennedy, the 6th son of Robert, dies in a skiing accident in Aspen, Colorado. He was 39. Prior to the accident, Michael made headlines for allegedly having a long-term affair with his children's babysitter.

1999 - John F. Kennedy, Jr.(eldest son of JFK), his wife, Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, and his sister-in-law, Lauren Bessette, die when their plane crashes in the waters off Martha's Vineyard, Ma. Kennedy was flying the Piper Saratoga plane that plunged into the Atlantic Ocean.

Skakel was 15 when Moxley, also 15, was found bludgeoned to death outside her Greenwich, Conn., home. Skakel was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison in August.

2005 - Rosemary Kennedy (JFK's sister) dies on January 7 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, at age 86.

2008 - Sen. Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy (JFK's brother) is diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor on May 20.

2009 - Sen. Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy dies on August 25. His sister, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, died two weeks earlier, on August 11. Eunice's daughter, Maria Shriver, NBC TV News journalist who was married to California Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

2012 - Mary Richardson Kennedy, the 52-year-old estranged wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.(3rd child of RFK), is found dead in the barn of her Bedford, N.Y., home. She died of an apparent suicide.

It is unbelievable that all of this can happen to one family.

Robert Francis "Bobby" Kennedy (November 20, 1925 – June 6, 1968), commonly known by his initials RFK, was an American politician from Massachusetts. He served as the United States junior senator from New York from January 1965 until his assassination in June 1968. He was previously the 64th U.S. Attorney General from January 1961 to September 1964, serving under his older brother, President John F. Kennedy & his successor, President Lyndon B. Johnson. Kennedy was a member of the Democratic Party, & is seen as an icon of modern American liberalism.

In 1968, Kennedy was a leading candidate for the Democratic nomination for the presidency, appealing especially to poor, African-American, Hispanic, Catholic & young voters. Shortly after midnight on June 5, 1968, after defeating Senator Eugene McCarthy in the California & South Dakota presidential primaries, he was shot by Sirhan Sirhan, a 24-year-old Palestinian, & died the following day:
