Being a liar, in some cases when done properly, can be an art form. When done badly, it makes the liar look like a complete moron. taal1237 falls firmly into the second category, and asking for US $999.00 or BIN US $1,298.70 for 600 modern junk stamps is unlikely to be taken up from his tall tale about this albums history. $2.00 per stamp BIN? $2.00 for the lot is closer to market value.

Bolding is mine
More than 600 postage stamps in one album. Very old stamp album,

This is my grandmother's mother's 100-year-old album that contains postage stamps for many countries.

My grandmother loved to collect postage stamps and this album is a historical heritage

After examining it by a specialist, it was found that it contains expensive stamps, and some of them are cheap
I did not know that the Chinese made Stockbooks 100 years ago. Oh wait... they didn't. But even if they did it would have been a really neat trick to put stamps released in 1980 on the cover. This album was produced less than 40 years ago. And it contains a junk Kiddies Kollection.

Elsewhere in the description his "claim" is that the stamps were issued from "before 1840" (another neat trick) up to 1920. I doubt that there is one stamp as old as 1920 in the entire sad and sorry lot.

Evidence?

Remember the Movie Dumb and Dumber? Well, expressglobal has a couple of goodies up which shows that he really should have been the star of the Movie.

1. Paraguay 1970's junky Gibbons Appendix Issue issued purely for Kiddies packets and not for using on letters. It is worth almost the value of the paper it is printed on. But apparently expressglobal believes there is something there because he wants AU$17,000 for this piece of junk.

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Paraguay-G-0-10-STAMP-J-S-Chardi ... ctupt=true

Ditto Polish Kiddies Gunk from 1968, catalogued at (wait for it) 10p. The overly ambitious expressglobal wants a slightly less ambitious AU$1,000 for this one, which is only $1,000 more than it is worth.

Keep on putting stuff up like this please. We need the laughs, and this thread needs the material.

There appears to have been a fresh crop of graduates from the University of Over-optimistic Pricing recently.

hioua_89 has been trying to sell this completely worthless stamp for £12.50 for weeks. Clearly seeing the error of their ways, they've now dropped it to an entirely reasonable £11.50 - watch those bids flood in!

Not to be outdone, shawnandrews1 thinks this imprint block (CV $A50 unhinged, $A30 hinged) is worth £225 ($A400).

lesnay61 thinks the previous 2 efforts are a bit lame, and is asking 13,000 Euros for some common revenues. And that appears to be the price EACH. A much better effort!

The Westminster Collection has a lot to answer for with their "Philatelic Legends" line sales pitch which leads to the likes of the following sad looking lot being listed on eBay for £244.

I somehow doubt the box makes up for the philatelic deficit.

This lovely home made 5/- 1932 Australian Sydney Harbour Bridge stamp can be yours for only AU$400.00 or BIN AU$550.00 (over double normal retail for a real one). Alternatively, just grab an old catalogue and cut out your own. Please do not use a ravenous kitten to do the cutting as this clown obviously did.
5L Sydney Harbour Bridge 1932 Stamp
Fortunately, I doubt that anyone with $400.00 or AU$550 to spend on a 5 Bob Bridge would have an IQ less than double that of seller brellmc-29 (1 ).

And by the way brellmc-29 (1 ), what you are trying to do is called fraud. I know that is a big word, but google it, read about it, and have your toothbrush packed ready to go.

Surprised they didn't market it as a rare proof used to show the printer where to put the perforations which they accidentally used pinking shears on instead.

I'm guessing he thinks this is the rare & valuable "green mist" retouch. He's certainly misty-eyed.

Actually, the description includes the back of the stamp:

Sul retro presenti alcuni puntini neri

"Some black spots on reverse"

I have extensive experience with italian sellers on eBay, because of my collecting interest of postal history of Italian Social Republic. Though never bought from this particular seller, I can tell you, this person belongs to the (relatively) honest end of the spectrum. At least he shows high resolution scans and writes some descriptions.

Another one! At least they're closer with the identification of the person on the stamp. The accuracy ends there, though.

hoperi02831, I hate to spoil your day, but there were hundreds of millions of these printed, and it's utterly worthless.
