If you were a newbie thinking of buying one of this crook's lots surely you would look at his past sales and notice that all of these bargains have the same 60 postmark on them and start getting suspicious. He is so confident of peoples' gullibility he doesn't even bother to change the postmark occasionally.

^ The 1d Blue sold for $228.50, with 19 bids.

Regarding the faked "60" postmark, unfortunately that works in his favour. Numeral "60" was used at Launceston and is one of the common strikes found on this issue. It is what one would expect to see.

Unfortunately, these copies are very dangerous to newbies.

It doesn't get any clearer than this. People are avoiding the Greek Idiot Forger like the plague.

Here are two used Tasmania 4d Oranges, listed side by side on ebay, right now 5th April 2020. Both were listed on 3rd April, within minutes of each other.

The first is genuine, offered by Collectables Warehouse. 19 Bids, presently at $117.50. It is flying. Still has eight days to go.

The second is fake, offered by antiquesunlimited111_1 (alias The Greek Forger). Stuck on $7.50, with 3 bids, all of whom are likely him.

His SA Departmental fakes are shockers, with wobbly lettering and all. Why anyone would touch anything he sells with a barge pole is beyond me.

His SA Departmental forgeries are so numerous they really should have a separate thread. Any volunteers?

Great work Traralgon. Well done.

I would like to see the SA Departmentals split off into new thread that people can add to whenever they see a new fake.

They are "flavour of the month" in The GReek House of Forgery and so are very numerous.

The fake 4d Orange (303530779257), initials MJ, has been shilled by The Greek Idiot Forger up to $94 (8 bids by 6 bidders).

Nobody, repeat nobody, just makes one bid on these. This is very obviously The Greek Idiot Forger placing his own bids on his own fake using his many, many bogus ebay accounts. All hidden by private bidding of course. 8)

The 3d Brown with "OS" Perfin does not exist - But it does now!
Image
The 3d with "OS" perfin  does not exist , except within the Greek Forger's vivid imagination!

These are a favourite of the Greek Forger. The mint stamps are easily obtainable. Then he can churn them out using his homemade punch. The perfin bunnies on ebay love them.

**Uh Oh** The Greek Forger now has a taste for reproductions and is going insane. Now producing colour-copied Beer Duties with good perforations = looks very passable and dangerous. Not marked "Replica" on the back in clear violation of ebay rules.

These perfins are completely fake.

Supplies of the 1d had run out and so the perfin is fake. It does not exist. Never has. The 9d can exist with genuine OS perfin - sadly from this seller is it not!

How brainless the bunnies are never ceases to amaze. They think "I haven't seen that before" and buy it!

We can hope the buyer sees this and asks ebay / Paypal for a refund.

Memo to everyone, report starcollectables

antiquesunlimited111_1 has recently sold another forged South Australia Departmental.

Item: 303520901901

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/303520901901

SOUTH AUSTRALIA Group of 13 Government officials Ovpt's They were probably described thus, so the eBay bargain hunters would spot the departmentals and bid like the mad men they are. Seeing the Specimen had two tears in it, our buyer paid $90 too much.

Having all the current States fakes in one place is a good idea I think. No issues with that.

Members are urged to report these ALL to ebay.

This cretin does not realise the 1PD specimen is the VERY rare 18.5mm overprint width, on original perf 10 issue, and worth well over $100 on its own, even defective.

So the buyer got the forged Departmentals free.

Hi MJ's pet,

Are strampsdownunder and antiquesunlimited111_1 the same person ?

I also watched this lot with interest as I thought the £2 at the second last row is genuine. Probably purposely covered by another stamp to hide the faults.

Thanks Glen.

It is obvious in the trained eyes of experts and not to people only have a catalog to see the high cat value :)

All lots of this seller are private listings which is a sign to avoid.

The lot sold for over $100 so another bunny buyer

The OS Lyrebird is also a forgery of the OS overprint. Another of his stock in trades.

This is what a real one should look like. The S gives the forgery away.

AS for the two South Australia Departmentals hiding away in the lot waiting for the dreamers to find them.

He has added a blurred indistinct postmark but the original postmarks at lower left and perfs tell me it is this stamp.

la-lune-collectables is another of his identities.

Our forger buys a lot of damaged stamps and repairs them/hides the damage and flogs them off as No Faults.

On the 26th of March la-lune-collectables sold this lot: New Guinea 1939 2d,4d, 5d & £2 Purple Bulolo Stamps Fine used, No Faults. Note the bit about No Faults.

Item No: 264673265008

The only thing is, he bought it like this with a clearly described small tear.

Another forged South Australia departmental sale come up recently.

Click on the item link in the search result and it says item not found.

This one would have to be another of his sales, as he bought the original piece.

Pretty disappointing that complaints to Ebay about antiquesunlimited's activities go unheeded.

While first reaction is often to call the buyers 'fools' the greater issue is the damage that is done to the hobby when buyers find out the status of what they have bought.

The silverfish have been active at starcollectables recently. They must have been very hungry. I looked at the next few lots and came up with these forged OS perfins on NWPI Kangaroos. All came from the one unpunctured lot.
