CANPEX 2021 National Virtual One Frame Philatelic Exhibition
Will open on April 7. Looks like application period ended early because of high demand. I was one of the lucky ones who got in.
I always do multi-frame exhibits. This is the first time I am trying a single frame. I'm having fun already. Looking forward to seeing the other exhibits.

Number-O-Ne,
Yes, you do appear to have been lucky. I am not surprised by the demand and wonder whether these will become a permanent feature on the philatelic landscape. Perhaps a niche market for a progressive society or federation?
The best of luck with your entry.

I think both types (physical and virtual) will have their place. The dealers and societies benefit from physical shows too much to allow full transition to virtual exhibitions.
On the other hand, virtual shows allow better reach. I'm really not comfortable sending my exhibit every time I want to participate. It's not possible to go to each show personally, either.
Last year, because of full virtual competition, I enjoyed participating in a show in Italy (AICPM-NET) that would have been impossible for me otherwise.
Two plates of the balance. For me, virtual side is heavier, though I wouldn't mind an occasional personal visit to a nice stamp show.

I was also able to submit an exhibit to CANPEX. Since so many National shows have been cancelled, this is one of the few opportunities for exhibitors to qualify new one-frame exhibits for the upcoming CAPEX '22 International One Frame Stamp Championship in Toronto (June 2022). Exhibits achieving a level of vermeil or higher at CANPEX will be eligible for entry to CAPEX '22.

Good Luck with your exhibit Canada stamper. Great topic. I will be interested to see if there are any Australian entries given the success of AusVipex late last year.Canada stamper wrote: ↑05 Mar 2021 15:07Here is my Title Page:

The one frame does lend itself to the online format. Still the same amount of work for the entrants but with a huge reduction in risk.

I'll be happy to share. Should I proceed here, or start a new sharing thread? What would be the best?

If you would like to have some discussion around your exhibit and exhibit topic, it's probably best to start a new dedicated thread for that, with a more relevant title.Number-O-Ne wrote: ↑07 Mar 2021 09:40ThanksKennethsequeira wrote: ↑05 Mar 2021 17:28All the best to Number - o -ne & Canada stamper....![]()

Note that the exhibits for CANPEX will be available for viewing online starting April 7. I'm not sure how long they will be up.

Re: CANPEX 2021 National Virtual One Frame Philatelic Exhibition
Hello All,
Nice to see this thread.
i am the Co-Chair for the physical Canpex show (usually the first weekend after Canadian Thanksgiving held in London, Ontario) and also the Co-Chair for the Virtual Show which will start on April 7. My duties for both shows is essentially being the Exhibits Chair, Awards, and looking after the jury needs. It has been an interesting experience. Each show has its own challenges. As previously stated, we had to cut the number of entries due to the overwhelming response. The original thought we had was, "well 35-50 single frames would be pretty good". We received 65 single frame entries before March! I think this caught everyone off guard.
One of the benefits of the virtual show is being able to see material you otherwise wouldnt see. Plus, being the Exhibits Chair, getting to meet all the exhibitors from all over the world. As an exhibitor myself, I know the hard work and dedication it takes creating an exhibit. The 65 frames you will see...... Wow! The level of creativity, subject matter, stories etc. Just an incredible amount of material.
I want to thank all the exhibitors who are participating! And for those who missed out, keep an eye out. We might have something up our sleeve.
Regards,
Steve

Wishing you all the best with Canpex 2021, as the event gets under way in the next couple of days and good luck to all exhibitors participating. It is just fantastic that we can attend these events online.

Some rather innovative and imaginative exhibits covering a wealth of subject matter. It will take a while to work through each. However, the online presentation is excellent and easy to navigate. Exhibitors are not identified but I see a few Aussies are represented. Well done Canada.

Yes indeed. Entries 55 & 65 also from Australia. You would recall 65 was a Gold at AusVipex.

Re: CANPEX 2021 National Virtual One Frame Philatelic Exhibition
Thank you for the kind words! Its been a pleasure getting to see all the exhibits beforehand!
As for names and locations- At Canpex, we dont publish names of the exhibitors in the program just to keep the judges guessing as to who did what exhibit.
The names and locations will be seen in the palmares that I need to start on... hahaha.
There will be some awards available for exhibitors as well but just finalizing the list.
Stay safe everyone!

Lovely exhibits Number -O- One & Canada Stamper...
Virtual Exhibits are really cool especially for those who can't make it... & my opinion ... it should be complementing the Physical Exhibits once this pandemic is over .... not replacing it as both have their pros & cons..
