Indian Revenue Stamps Catalogue - revised KM edition

Post by ikanek »

The Court Fee and Revenue stamps of the Princely States of India - a revised edition is available for "A-B" states - after about 5 years of thorough research, with thousands of spent hours.

Now, it is a set of PDF files ("e-book"), available on CD from the editor - Martin Blatt.

Stampboards was chosen by the authors to be the first offer option.

Highlights of the revised edition

- The system of numbering and introduction for each state were preserved
- The types were re-arranged chronologically (except few states)
- Adhesive issues are listed with stamped paper section in one place
- Several new states are listed for the first time – they are marked in red in the following table
- Two column listings
- Hundreds of new varieties and types added – many of them are also illustrated
- Overprints and surcharges for succession state separately listed – Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Himachal Pradesh
- Coloured illustrations whenever they were available to the authors
- Re-pricing leading to more accurate actual retail prices
- More information about archive materials – essays and proofs

The states are available separately, maximum 5 states or in economy packs.

Nice one ikanek. Congratulations to all authors of this work.

Are you planning to offer a package for all 35 feudatory states listed by SG in the Commonwealth and Empire catalog? Most postage stamps collectors will not be interested in all states that issued revenue stamps. The set of states that issued both will certainly appeal to several postage stamps collectors (myself for one).

Many thanks, mmaddury, for your kind words.

To be true, we have not thought about a package of "postage" states yet. But it will take some time which is hard to predict when we finish. It is possible that we prepare such compilation.
