Super busy right now, but if someone can save these images and cut and paste the text and lay it out neatly and give correct BB attribution, a great article to start in Discuss Stamps!

Letterlocking: Background Information

Post by David Smitham »

1-Scan-002.jpg
Letterlocking was a term that I was completely unaware of until earlier this week. As a national judge and one who has been in the stamp trade for 45+ years I had never heard of such - let alone seen an example of one. The above cover is not letterlocked!

For an explanation:

Does anyone have any such examples? If so please share.

Thank you.

David.

Hi David,

How interesting, I only just posted recently about this matter.
About two-thirds of the way down my page:
https://www.stampboards.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=93844&start=500
Go to page and search for "letterlocking" is probably easiest.
